The same crap about changing culture, the same inability to coach a team to victory over less talented teams. Under performing has become the mantra.
Yanking players after two, three minutes makes players play like they are scared to screw up, doesn't allow them a chance to develop a flow, or even develop a sweat.
There is no flow on O, the D allows wide open looks, and most players spend more time running from the bench the scoring table, then back to the bench then running on the court.
A clueless coach leads a team of clueless players, we have seen this at OSU for how many years now.
How long till baseball?

The biggest problem is sloppy play/lack of discipline. I think he needs to go back to the 5am practices that he's gotten away from.

The fact that he doesn't seem to stick to much of anything is a huge problem with the program. Doesn't stick with players, I don't see any Princeton offense, and the 1-3-1, which was the one bright spot of the program is no longer run with the same discipline, tenacity, or consistency.
IMHO you cannot put the best rebounder on the point of the 1-3-1, Johnson does not attack like Seth, and it removes him from being a force below.

Johnson is fine at the top. He's been disruptive. You need a few more big bodies to rebound, though. As others have noted and I'm seeing for myself, it only takes one good pass to dismantle a zone defense. There have been dozens of open 3's in the corners--that costs them games.
An even bigger frustration of mine is that (lesser) opponents drive the lane and get easy baskets, where as the Beavs have to settle for jump shots and 3's. There is no rhythm. How and why do opponents drive so easily? I thought it was because of the zone, but I've seen it happen when the Beavs have 3 guys in the paint and appear to be in man.
Anyway, Robinson has raved about the athleticism. If the team is athletic, they should put those athletes on the floor, even if they are young, and switch to man defense or a least a hybrid of some sort. I also think they were better running the Princeton offense. These guys are like wild horses on the Arizona plains...completely undisciplined and unable to harness or train. Slowing them down might allow them to play under control and finish a few more of the easy opportunities that they do receive.

Next year is going to be a great season. I'm not saying this season can't be decent, but we get rid of the seniors like Wallace, Nelson plays from the start, and we get a fantastic shot blocker in Gomis.

Thinks winning basketball is all about finding a rotation and playing at sea level. When a team is undisciplined, unenergetic, and unable to shoot, any five guys will lose just as badly as any other.

Gotmilk, you definitely won the battle. Next year we'll see if you've won the war. I still have like...2% confidence in CR and feel like part of this year's rotation was due to a fear of mutiny. Granted, that is bad leadership if true, but I want to see him coach a year with his guys (if they all don't transfer) where there are no excuses or outside variables. But yeah, he appears to be incompetent right now.

Just bought his book for .93 on Amazon, 9 people actually had very nice things to day about it. Like most others I did not think he totally suck on post game today.
I would much rather be wrong, and do hope he can right the ship. There will be no excuses next year. And they are not without talent. But if they don't improve next year, it's going to be a lonnnnnggg wait; again.

I think he gambled that this years seniors were good enough to keep the team at around .500 again and then they could then leap forward next year with his guys. He probably could have gone 11-20 with his recruits and some walk-ons with less disruption. In hindsight, the "cream" of Jay John's crop were gone. CR probably knew he was sunk when Haynes said his goal was to be P-10 player of year.
