Craig Robinson will be paid, at least partially, by ESPN.

4-star shooting guard Keith Smith will be visiting this weekend. Tinkle continues to be the man. Can’t wait to see if he can actually coach.

Colt Lyerla accuses Oregon of offering him a house, car, etc. Very interesting. Can we trust this guy? Not really, but we know Oregon is one of the shadiest schools in the country so it’s possible. We also know the NCAA and Oregon will both talk around this issue until it just goes away.

  1. Tinkle also lowered season tix prices with prices gradually increasing each year. Want fans to commit to the program just like his top 10 class has

  2. as for Lyerla, he and UO were a match made in heaven. Liarla’s. But in all honesty I believe him because Whoregon is as shady as it gets. They want to be SEC so bad it’s pathetic. Dear douchebags, how many natty’s has cheating gotten you? Zero. Just like that stupid oprah logo I see everywhere. Prediction time. After MSU smacks you down tomorrow, My guess is we will hear a ginormous thud emanating from Eugene which will be duck fans everywhere jumping off the bandwagon.

    • Remember when a bunch of people on here wanted Leach over Riley? And we think Riley doesnt run it enough. At what point should we expect to see Leach start winning at least his non-con games?

      • Conceptually, I thought Leach would be a good offensive coordinator because he needed a job, would be highly motivated to succeed to get back to head coaching, would therefore not go off the gosh darned rails under Riley (might even lose a kidney) and might be effective for 3-4 years. The idea was Leach as O-Coordinator would compliment/counter Riley’s passiveness/overly complicated offensive scheme with some aggression/simplified passing game to take advantage of OSU’s recruiting results (Qbs, WRs…). In reality, probably never work to have him take a “demotion” to OC.

      • I certainly remember all the Leach/Riley comparisons and Angry’s crush on Leach and his defending him after Year One. I am enjoying his failures as a result.

  3. At least they coug’d it against an FBS opponent vs. a Big Sky FCS team at home… I don’t want the Pirate but Opie won’t get us a PAC 12 championship.

  4. Brock Hekking says there was only one reason Nevada’s “blue-collar” defense was so effective against Washington State’s high-powered offense.

“Honestly, because we wanted it more,” Hekking said after the Wolf Pack beat the Cougars 24-13 Friday night for just their third victory over a Pac-12 team in the past 10 years.

“You look at a Pac-12 opponent — they’ve got all the bells and whistles, the nice uniforms and all that. We are just blue-collar guys,” the senior defensive end said. “But our senior class has made it a point to love the game of football and every single chance we have, to leave it out on the field and empty in the tank.”

That will not sit well with the palouse pirate. I see some quality time in dark equipment sheds in the near future for some boogar players

  5. Unsurprised to see “GameDay” in Eugene today. What are the chances UO wins on the big stage today with all of the attention AND OSU closes the day by under-performing and losing at Hawaii?

I recognize that OSU can only control what it does, and that the point of this blog is OSU athletics, but this game looks like a chance for RileyBanker to choke and just look that much worse in doing so because of the associative and contrasting scheduling (opponent quality) and broadcast circumstances.

    • BTW, if it were Kelly, I’d think a Duck win more likely. With Helfrich, and the fact MSU had the off-season to prep for this, I’m not so sure.

  6. The Pac12 channel and game scheduling is neglecting its own footprint. I live in Napa, CA and subsribe to every P12 network available in my area, NationalP12, Bay P12, and LA P12. I wait all week excited to watch P12 football. But then they triple schedule their game times and so i end up only having Utah on the national and cal and cal on the two california channels. To watch washington i must go to my ipad. (Ipad to tv via apple tv is an awful way to watch a game.). So three games at 12:30. And then nothing from 3:30-7:30 but football hype.

What an awful waste of a limited live product. If i were a shareholder, I’d be furious. It would have been sooo easy for washington/Eastern Washington to move game back to 3:30pm. What an incredible waste of product. Pathetic.
