  1. Read that Cabral’s visit went well, but didnt give any indication if he would commit or not. still really early for him and beavs were one of 5 schools he’s visiting this week. I think the linemen like OSU because of the success GA and Woods had at Wisconsin, and that seems to he a common selling point they say the coaches bring up. Good strategy…

    • It’s good they got a visit considering how his recruitment is blowing up. At the very least they should be in the mix because of that.

      • He wIll end up at USC. That school is their farm team. I know he does not have them in his top five at this time. Just because the cute girl smiles at you does not mean she will go to the prom with you.
If GA can get this kid I will bow down in homage.

  2. I disbelieve this premise. There is no way a four star athlete will come to an awesome little college town like Corvallis just to attend a cool little school like OSU.

    Just ain’t gonna happen.

Besides… he’s got a working man’s name… not that the first name does anything for me. But shouldn’t he be wearing an actual, real-life blue collar and the “thank you for your service” cami crap that Nikegon shoves on the world?

  3. But…but…you can’t recruit to Corvallis. No airport…no this, no that!

(this message is brought to you by Lindsey Schnell’s brain because she’s choking on Twinkies or Nike song- same thing)

    • Watching BU/Yale right now. Not impressed with either team except for BU’s speed. Yale is disciplined but too slow to get any fore-checking on a very mistake-prone BU team. They should be taking three times as many shots as BU, but they can’t get their sticks in the clear. It feels like it will be a BU win despite maybe one or two bursts per period for them.

Minnie may not be a great team this year, but they’re good enough to handle both these teams pretty easily… if BU makes any of these same mistakes going forward.

      • My best friend has two degrees from BU, so if we can get by Duluth a beer bet will be in order.
If we lose,I will get get a ration of crap from the little lady, who is a UMD grad. A house divided tonight.

        • I wouldn’t count Yale out yet. They look really tired, but they’re winning board play on either end still. They just can’t get to the fore-check, and that leaves BU running it out and flinging wristers at Lyon.

And Yale got jobbed on that hooking call to end regulation. You would think the refs were Pac 12 on that call. If Yale can kill the PP to start OT, they can win. They’re crossing through middle ice in BU’s end a ton. The only time there has been someone there to pick it up with a clean stick, he scored.

      • The college game is so much better than the NHL. If the NHL kicked out the goons, suspended players for just throwing a punch (and worse for connecting), went to O-ice and erased the red line, I would be all over that sport. But right now it’s just a shit-fest.

        Let the players play!!!!

      • Holy crap! I knew Coleman was out for Miami. But Barber’s out too? And they play a four seed at the 4’s home?

        That’s some grade A baloney.

      • Not good for the B1G entrant.

Remember the wrestling comment about winning a weak conference? I think the B1G was counting on Wiscy being more than a poor club team.

This is still a much better game than the last one. But Minnie looks like they’ve been playing against JV teams for a while.

I switched over to Zags/UCLA. I gave up on this one.
