Christian Wallace commits. Congrats to GA and the staff and Wallace himself.
It’s about time they had a breakthrough.
Hopefully a good showing tomorrow and there’s a domino effect. Go Beavs!

This came out of left field. Pretty awesome news
Congrats Derrick Odum and the rest of the beaver coaching staff!
Huge.. This kid size athleticism and ball skills at corner !!?? He can be special if he puts in the work
what position does he play (his profile says athlete)? Does anyone know what position the coaching staff intends to use him at?
Until they get more talent on the team it might be where he’s most needed rather than where he’s best suited.
They recruited him at CB. He said recently after his visit that’s how they intend to use him(think it was in Nemec’s recent article)
You beat me to the punch :)
He said the coaches told him cornerback.
6″2, 200lbs…that’s a big corner.
That’s the way it’s going. Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson are the new prototype
*cough* Brandon Browner *cough*
You have to be able to defeat the rampant holding from Oregon wide receivers.
My guess is safety. I asked him on twitter, but no response yet, he just favorited the tweet.
His quote:
“I got to talk with everybody on the coaching staff and I got to see how they play,” he said. “They say that I will for sure play cornerback and I’m explosive enough to be a special teams player. To be honest, I like scoring touchdowns, so I would love that.”
That’s the Andrew Nemec quote I saw
It’s odd he likes to score TDs but then agreed to play CB. I guess he has a lot of confidence in pick 6
He said that his skill set was best suited to defense so he made the conscious decision to go defense despite liking the scoring aspect of offense.
Maybe ST p until returns…
Probably punt returns…
I believe they want to use him at cornerback and to return kickoffs and punts.
He previously Said the coaches we’re very specific about how they will use him as a corner. (Maybe nickel?) To me it seems like he agreed with their vision of him on defense and that was really what put us as his leader
That and that we don’t have an airport.
What?!?!?!?
I would die if a recruit said that.
The airport trope must stay alive just for that.
Maybe he can play quarterback.
People seem to think Jaquori McLoughlin is committing to OSU tomorrow too. Should find out around noon. Nice start to the weekend
Saw Nemek tweet a prediction on Jaq’s commitment.
Cornerback would be the biggest need. But they showed they will move kids around on offense and defense. Maybe he would be the hybrid rover/nickelback?
This could be the cornerstone of this year’s class. Major Get by GA and staff. Huge Props.
Hope this creates some momentum.
He wants corner, talked about how he is a better defensive player than offensive.
The situation with Chandler is really interesting. If Moran can bring Lucas and Harry…
Blazer, what are the odds on that?
I was talking with him last night about this. I think if they did get him, he would be the All-Time top commitment. Odds are low though, but a chance.
I’m assuming that it’s Lucas that you’re referring to when you say the odds are low. Correct?
Chase Lucas would be a great get, but I was referring to N’Keal Harry 5star WR, he is coming in this weekend as well.
https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-NKeal-Harry-153864
They’re coming this weekend? Rivals lists the visit date as 10/23
Looks like they visit the weekend of October 24th. Too bad it isn’t this week while the weather is still sunny and in the 70’s.
?o ?@Mason_Moran3 Sep 22
Official visit set to Oregon State on October 24th, super stoked to go with my boys @Chase_Lucas2 @NkealHarry15
Yeah… blazer keeps the lists updated on twitter. I think it’s Simmons and Tisdale for football and my men Kone and Fraser for hoops this weekend.
Better tell them to commit soon or their spots will be gone. wouldn’t that be something ;-)
Go BEAVS!!
Could be more spots available. attrition, greyshirts, and/or medical. Plus, we will make room for them.
I get that we’d make room. I meant we’re so big time you better commit or your spot will get filled by all the our other 4 and 5 star recruits.
Nice! Very excited about this commit. Anxious to see if he starts recruiting for us like B.Cooks and others have in the past.
My check cleared.
Funny… but not.
Where is the #greatdaytobeaBeaver tweet from Riley?
he tweeted it. But then it got raped
He tried to get the tweet in but ran out of time and got a delay of game.
Ah, had the right tweet dialed up, but couldnt get the tweet in on time. If only the twatter would have seen the open tweetee from the tweetor. something like that??
Nice colors, BTW
Homeboy can return kicks as well. The other recruits have taken notice that he has committed I’m sure. Could be a special class…..
I’m too old for that shit…my walk on days are over.
You’ll be playing the same position as I. Left Out
Left out. That’s a good one whiskey!
Left Out.
What do you say when you hit a fly ball toward Michael Conforto?
I’ll take sports references for 1000 please Alex.
Damn that’s an impressive get. Especially this early. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Shurod follow suit. It’s pretty impressive that after 8 months this staff is doing so well on the recruiting front. Exciting times for us in Beaver Nation.
I was talking with Blazer…we agree Shurod Thompson likely commits, too.
Damn I hope that’s true
Lots of big Chinook on the Alsea, filled a tag today in front of Star King. Came home and read the good news on AB regarding recuiting. Great ending to a super day. Let’s go get Stanford.
This is why football is played on Fridays?
Seriously… freezer is full but the wife wants a halibut now.
Never happy…. :)
Holy shit, did we get an airport? That’s awesome news.
Corvallis > Austin
Funny seeing Beavbutter/OsBeav2011 talking ish about me over on blitz tonight. What a constant little bitch. He/She can’t even enjoy a good night of OSU news. Yes, i stand by my past accusation, and if an athlete sends me a DM (unsolicited btw) and wants me to share pics/quotes from their visit, don’t get all butthurt.
I know….too much to ask…
Apologies to angry if this brings out the trolls.
nut butter, sad assclown and the rest of the blitz fags, we over here just have one thing to say
http://ct.fra.bz/ol/fz/sw/i50/5/7/6/frabz-If-At-First-You-Dont-Succeed-Maybe-You-Just-suck-211bd8.jpg
if only their dads had pulled out sooner
Think you need to wring your napkins out a bit
nope. I have heard enough from the blitz crowd. buncha jizz stains and they suck schweddy balls. If they’d stay over there, no problem. But from time to time they wander over here.
schweddy balls is like so mid 90’s Sandler… and one of his funnier bits.
Pete Schweddy was Alec Baldwin
Apparently you were never forced to listen to Sandler’s old (crap… old stuff now) comedy routines… and laugh at them just to mask the pain of how not funny they really are… but everyone else is laughing at them for some reason.
I never watched 30 Rock. So I apologize for not knowing that.
I think he means
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxeO-4lIpL8&w=420&h=315%5D
Oh… well then I don’t apologize… and would like those 15 seconds of my life back please.
I believe that’s the most SNL I’ve watched in about 30 years.
Lost in all the Wallace news was a new baseball commit tonight was the commitment of a new pitcher, Nate Burns. Bad timing for him
https://twitter.com/BeavRecruiting/status/647220115201769472
great day to be a beaver? No. I’m thinking a kick ass day to be a beav
We’ll see how the weekend goes.
We’ve got several superheros in the fold. We’re going to have to build a meeting place for them. It will be the League of Justice, and we’ll disguise it at something nondescript on a college campus… like a players’ facility…? I guess while we’re at it we should just get more superheros.
I’ve lost track of who we have. And do my comics go up in value because of this?
Snagged a 4-star with offers from Texas, Oklahoma, and a few other notable schools. Nice!
Hope he stays with the commit.
We don’t need no negative vibes Moriarty!
Go Beavs!
Nothing succeeds like being successful. If the Beavs can over-achieve some, have a few upsets, snag a few good recruits then the ball can start rolling. One of the sins of the past is that OSU never capitalized on the near-rose bowl seasons.
I wonder if Stanford will bring their A-game. I want our team to kick their butts. Please bring F-game. Next year maybe we can handle B-game or C-Game.
Too many people are buying us ATS. And enough are calling it a trap game. I’m assuming they’re coming to play.
It seems like events are kind of favoring the Beavs to get GA his first signature win against a Top 25 opponent, but Hogan might end of playing and playing lights out at that, so who knows. It would be nice to get early validation. Home game, national TV, opponents senior QB injured……one can wish.
It feels that way, but then I wonder where the Beavs will get their yards on offense. Stanford [in recent history] always seems to be in the right place on D. So you have to assume they contain Collins. At that point, where do the yards come from? If I could figure that out, I’d take the Beavs in an upset. MI shut down Collins run game, so we have to assume good D’s will do that. Then what?
Something special and consistent has to happen in the passing game, if not it won’t happen tonight.
You and I wanted Martinez heavily, for good reason. But Martinez can’t set the edge like Skov did. Anderson was the player who did that this year. He’s out. I don’t remember the other OLB’s name (well… I kinda remember it but don’t want to butcher it… owendayabji?… probably not even close), but he’s going to be expected to take that edge away on one side. I’m sure GA knows what to expect from the other side.
Clute and Togiai need to get out and hit people squarely… off their positions and away from play. If they do that, then I think we have a chance. It’s not necessarily a trench thing here. It’s what goes on in the vicinity of the trenches that will probably matter.
I know this seems divergent from my previous idea that O-lines matter. It’s not. The O-line still needs to perform.
And our D-line needs to be smart and Judo their O-line. Everything still needs to go correctly for a win. It has always been that way.
Nice to get that 4 star monkey off the back, but looking at the commits so far, starting to get concerned that they are all skill position types. This team needs some road graders…where’s the beef?
Regarding the OL: I believe GA mentioned that there was too many on scholarship and he wanted to lower that number? Hope we get some guys in the trenches soon…
DT is a bigger need. We’re decent on OL. I would always take quality if it increases quantity over wanted numbers. But don’t go get ’em just because if that’s not the plan. One OL grader to go with Brandel, Fifita and Lucas from last year would be enough. DT! DT! DT! NT?
I have to think they’re working a JUCO kid for that position. You’ll never hear news from JUCOs until they vist in late Nov. or early Dec. just before their signing period.
You’re right, DLine is also a concern. A true NT bowling ball type for the 3-4 (do they still make those?) and DT aren’t falling from the sky either. Maybe the poly pipeline will help.
I hadn’t considered the juco route, that might actually play out better as well; get a kid with the frame filled out and ready to roll, on someone else’s dime. *cough, Peko, cough*
Whatever the case, some big fellas yearly would help even out the classes, account for attrition and injury.
That’s what I’m thinking. Half our DTs are seniors. The other half are frosh. OL is pretty well balanced with some quality personnel. We need some slobberknockers on the D side to season said OL.
Funny convo with a friend who is living overseas right now. He says ESPN and others are using wardaddy, one of his favored terms, to describe players recently. But they’ve spread the term outside the trenches, his favorite part of the game. We know these terms are not exclusive. This is not about that. But the increase in that popularity makes him use slobberknocker as his default instead.
Just the sound of the word makes me want that kid more. That’s what I want. Bring me a slobberknocker.
Angry asked me to put together a list of other potential highly rated recruits the Beavs could have a shot at landing. This isn’t so much a list of who I think we’ll end up with, as it is a list of guys you may or may not be familiar with, but if the Beavs do land them you’ll at least have an idea of who they are before they commit.
We’re already in pretty good shape at QB, WR, DB but if the right player were to pledge to GA that he wants to be a Beav, I’m sure they’d make some room somehow.
DB-
Shurod Thompson- I’ll get the obvious one out of the way. 4* DB out of Pittsburg HS. Friends with current Beav DB Xavier Crawford. Also has the Ken Simonton connection which helps. Visited last week. Likes what he’s seen from OSU. I think there’s a pretty good shot he becomes a Beaver.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2700914/highlights
JUCO DB’s
Markell Simmons(Safety)/Devron Davis(CB)- Both are 3*/4* type guys. Simmons is visiting this weekend. Likely goes to Utah, but Beavs are high on him. Davis wants to be a Beav. The staff is taking a cautious approach with him and wanted to see his first few games this year before extending an offer. Still, an offer hasn’t come, so not sure if this will ever happen. Putting him here just for informational purposes.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2091349/markell-simmons
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1476642/devron-davis
LB-
Kaelin Himphill- Another easy one. Maybe not highly rated on the recruiting sites or in high demand(yet), but watch his film(especially from this year) He’s a one man wrecking crew. Currently has offers from Army, Portland State, EWU. OSU has recently offered a greyshirt spot, but again, there’s a very good chance he gets a scholarship this year as soon as the season ends and spots start opening up due to attrition.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3735404/highlights/285949481/v2
OL-
Fred Mauigoa- From America Samoa, so the number of teams competing for him isn’t particularly high at this time because of geography. 4* (in my estimation) Dominated at the Eugene Opening regional(vs 3* and 4* guys) this summer and was invited to the Opening finals, where he more than held his own among the nation’s top recruits. Has WSU and OSU as his top 2 so far, and at one point called OSU his leader. Not sure if that has changed at all in recent months.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4777220/fredrick-mauigoa
Michael Eletise- 4* Lineman and probably the name you’re most familiar with. Arizona commit. Doubtful he flips, but still plenty of time for guys to change their mind.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2630918/michael-eletise
Toleafoa (Sean) Auwae-UCLA commit. Still plans to take some visits. Has said OSU will be one of them, but nothing is official yet. Get him on campus and I give us a fighting chance to flip him.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2649962/toleafoa-auwae
WR
N’keal Harry- 4*/5* guy from Chandler HS (Mason Moran’s school) Plans to visit OSU with Moran for the Colorado game. Numerous power5 offers. Has OSU in his top 10(it’s a start). Only reason I think he would come here is if he falls in love with the coaches, and he wants to continue his career with Moran. Has called Moran his team’s leader for the last 4 years. Not likely to commit, but the visit helps. Also, a position we would make room for if he commits, otherwise WR is full.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3167887/nkeal-harry
RB
Chase Lucas- 4* -another Chandler guy. Doesn’t have OSU in his “top” list, but if Moran and Harry commit, you never know. Also visiting with Moran and Harry for Colorado.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2769881/chase-lucas
Malik Staples- 3* Could flip from Lousiville still. Not sure if we need to RB’s with the same build in one class?(Pierce has already committed)
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1475419/malik-staples
DT
Matt Boesen-JUCO- Former Boise St player, transferred to JUCO for disciplinary reasons, but that hasn’t stopped teams from recruiting him. Has several P5 offers. A longshot, but the Beavs would be happy to land him.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1879942/mat-boesen
LJ Teo- From America Samoa. Not a household name, but will surprise people and it’s a position of need. Limited film on him, but he plays like a bull in a china shop.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/5412559/highlights/288639491/v2
I think Oregon State lands 4-6 of the guys listed. This is not to say there won’t be other high profile guys that could come along and surprise us. Also, there is a no shortage of players who might be considered 2*/3* who would love to play for OSU, but with limited room, they’ll have to wait for a few dominos to fall. Still a reallllly long way to go till signing day in February.
Feel free to throw more names out there to add to the list. This is more of a quick and dirty list because I just don’t have enough time to truly pour over the entire list of 2016 guys OSU has received interest from right now. If there’s a specific position you want more information about, that might help me narrow down my search a little to find more names.
Also, the list of high profile 2017 guys who are high on OSU is pretty impressive. I’m really looking forward to how that class shakes out. Only 1.5 years to go!
Don’t go hiding behind some paywall dude!
ha, that won’t happen. defeats the whole purpose
I love you man!
Forgot to add Tyrek Tisdale. Visiting today. Some sites call him an ATH or APB, but I think OSU is recruiting him as a RB. I almost like him better as a receiver. Not too dissimilar to Pierce, but a little higher profile recruit. Currently a Florida commit.
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2992064/highlights/150187068/v2
Ahhh… comment got spammed due to all the links.
I want Teo. But who am I?
Another 2016 guy I left off the list, who we have a longshot with
TE-
Darel Middleton- 4* out of Tennessee. Committed to ASU, then decommitted earlier this month. Has picked up recent offers from Florida, FSU, Miami, Lousiville, others. Only reason I list him is because he’s friends with Xavier Hawkins and he said earlier this month he was trying to work out official visit plans with Oregon State. Do we NEED another TE in 2016? probably not, but I actually like this guy as a Defensive end instead. Big and tall with a big reach, and he gets after it on defense. check out his hudl
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2819691/darel-middleton
I’m no good at evaluating film, but this kid out of Heppner is unstoppable at the 2A level. Of course hard to judge based on that level of competition. But he’s a big farm kid. Tough I imagine.

Closing in on 9,000 students for tonight’s game. Hope the stadium fills out nicely.
Why are replies going straighline instead of cascading? Is anyone else seeing that?
Ahh… blazer replied to someone who deleted their post.
DAMMIT!
People!
If you don’t like what you said, then just delete the text and replace it with a period. Someone responds to what you say, sometimes quickly. But a response to a deleted comment screws up this little corner of the world.
And now I need to know what the content of the comment blazer responded to was.
Belie my last.
but… I got my content
still cascading for me. which reply are you asking about?
Also, the list of high profile 2017 guys….
This begins a straightline, end of thread accumulation on my viewing end. Your response to my comments all appear above that string.
I will forever be seen as loving you blazer, because this is how the thread ends.
*sniffle*
It doesn’t mean it’s not true.
That comment was a reply to my lengthy post about 2016 guys, but I do see a little disclaimer above my initial post that says “Your comment is awaiting moderation”
Can you guys not see that one from 9:10am? Probably because I included several hudl links, so wordpress is probably flagging me as spam
That’s what happened. Should be good now.
After refreshing a couple of times it’s now showing up for me.
Just finished reading your list Beavblazer. Wow. Great Job. Really appreciate it.
Yes… excellent.
And I might love you more now.
Gotta agree with Jack, your doing a great job blazer. You are much better at keeping up to date than Rivals is, that’s my honest opinion. Thanks
thanks. wish i had planned better up front and started keeping info in a spreadsheet. most of this is just in my head, and i look up my old posts to refresh my memory.
Does anybody know if there’s a way to build a spreadsheet that stays in the cloud so you can update it from anywhere? For instance, sometimes I work from home so I’m on my desktop, but other times i’m in the office so I use their machines. and the rest of the time I’m on my smartphone. Would be nice to have a single document i can access form all three spots.
I’ve never used google documents, but maybe that’s a solution?
Yup Google docs my man
https://www.google.com/docs/about/
cool, thanks. I’ll have to start that up for the 2017 class before it gets out of hand.
yeah, good call, google sheets will be a game changer. love that you can use it on your phone and it saves everything as you go. good stuff. Sometimes, the hardest part is developing the plan (spreadsheet format, etc) and after that the work is easy.
Also, as the twitter feed grows, it’s helped build some pretty good connections with sources, etc.
For instance, last night the Wallace commitment was confirmed by 2 reliable sources within 10 minutes of Wallace’s initial tweet.
In the past I was burned a few times by relying on what the recruit said, but now the information is much more reliable. It will never be 100% accurate, but that’s the case with any site. There are plenty of examples of this.
Don’t worry too much about accuracy given the topic. But keep vigilant. Those who defeat you are actually funny so far. So you should get a giggle and learn from it… no more.
The ball was kind of high, a little wobbly,” Togiai said. “But I had to come down with it.
Yes. You need to think this. It was almost impossible unless you are actually great.

Moran is proving to be a good writer. I like this guy.
What can we expect from him in basketball? Wasn’t he being recruited by Utah to only play basketball800-422-4012? Should we be more excited about his future in football or basketball?
Double post with a random phone number in it… Stupid phone…
NorthWest Natural Gas??
What can we expect from him in basketball? Wasn’t he being recruited by Utah to only play basketball? Should we be more excited about his future in football or basketball?
Per the article, he was gearing down and going to gear up for hoops. I think he looks fluid on the field. And now that he’s out there for the foreseeable future, he might sideline hoops. He has skills and would play with the team in rotation given experience. But football will limit that experience every year from now until when he leaves. He won’t be available (beyond noonball) to play with the hoopsters until conference play. Enough can be learned and experienced in those pick-up games to make the learning curve shallow. And he is skilled enough to play on the D1 level.
It’s going to be simply what he can do when he gets there.
anemec is sticking with his prediction that Jroq goes orange and black.
All the coaches involved know his decision. He called them all yesterday and informed them. As is customary in hoops recruiting, the coaches are silent and respecting his hat day.
Please please please no orange polo. Or maybe yes just to put a new image in my mind?
Ugh! What’s the news on Fraser? I can’t imagine spending an hour with Kone and not wanting to spend the rest of my life wanting to talk to that kid.
Speaking of… blazer… you need to find out what e-car Kone thinks is the best muscle. And what concepts will succeed?
I have to say that I appreciate anemec recently putting himself out there (for free) and also not mentioning the Ducks in those articles. Enough of that might make me think he’s serious.
funny, i was just going to say the same. was talking about that with angry a few weeks back. I’ve grown to like Nemec more. Sure, he’s a duck, and I’m sure he’ll put a little more passion into that work than the Beaver work, but he’s become more fair in his writing. He’s taken alot of criticism and used it to improve. Can’t complain about that. He also gets interviews that you would only see if you had a paid subscription. I’m not going to bother getting into the interview side of things, other than the occasional quote hear or there, so Nemec is the go-to place for that stuff.
(I still think he cribbed my visit list from September 19th though, but I put this stuff out there for free, so be it)
If he can keep it separated… he wins.
Well… we all win. I was getting tired (you know I was immediately tired) of the constant Duck references on OSU stories. Al is forgiven if he goes full journalist.
no offense to Al… but *all
I’m with you guys on this and actually enjoy reading his updates now. All I want is fair, unbiased reporting and like you said blazer, he seems to be taking criticisms to heart and has changed for the better. Maybe he can work on Goe? Nah, he still sucks ass and always will.
I agree he’s been better. Maybe he just hated Riley like everyone else and has respect for the Beavs under Andersen?
Probably coincidence. I’m buying him maturing according to his audience’s wants.
Whats your take on Jaquori Jack? I haven’t even seen film yet. Does he compare to anyone in the program now or elsewhere in the PAC?
It’s hard to peg him by his tape. He breaks it down in segments according to skills.
But he is not deficient in any of those skills. I think his handle is sufficient as a PG. I see his length and quickness as very good for both SG and D. He’s not a slasher. But you have to cover him out to 25′. And if you don’t cover him on the backside because you think what I just said… hoo boy he can put it down Cunningham style. He has great vision in both transition and in the half court. He could be a PG on this level easily. But I think he’s NBA quality off the ball as a 2 regardless of size…
… umm… after four years at OSU.
Jaquori McLaughlin reminds me a little bit of Jerryd Bayless, or at least what Portland Trailblazer fans hoped Bayless would be when they drafted him. McLaughlin is slightly less explosive, but a better shooter from the perimeter. He’s also a better passer and much closer to a true point guard than Bayless was out of high school. Bonus, McLaughlin doesn’t have T-Rex arms, so his defensive potential is greater than Bayless. That, of course, would have been wasted under Craig Robinson, but I expect he’ll be a dynamic player for us on both ends of the court.
That’s not a bad comparable. I don’t have one off the top of my head, so that should tel you he’s interesting enough and capable enough to be his own player.
CR would have loved to have him play free. But I think CR would have tried to make him into a PG, which would have constricted his game and slowed his development. I think Tinks likes to move the pieces around enough that he will be free to do this at this time and that at that time depending on personnel situations.
There’s nothing better than a player who comes off the bench as a specialist and kills the other team’s hopes… except for maybe a personnel slide where your lead G takes the 2 and just kills it. It seems subtle except that the game is obviously changed. But we will have these options going forward.
It’s similar to how I view Stevie fitting in. He will come off the bench and be asked to play D and be a worker bee. Then personnel will switch up (don’t even need subs for this) which will allow him to green light everything.
There is an argument for talent over coaching. But the coaching still needs to be there.
How about this dude at DT.

7-Foot, 440-Pound High School Lineman Is a Nightmare for Opponents
Bleacher Report? – 21 hours ago
Nobody in the NFL is as big as he is. Krahn stands 7 feet tall and weighs in at 440 pounds…
Sheesh… imagine dropping 40 pounds to get down to 1/5 of a ton. I watched the tape. He certainly is huge. Doesn’t appear to be very quick. I have no idea how strong he is. He could easily lose a 100 lbs and line up as a 340 lb nose tackle. Put his hands up and block a few balls.
A one man D-line! He ain’t nimble.
He can fall over and occupy the A and B gaps on one side… without getting hit in the knee by Max Tuerk.
Hell, he can just fall on Max Tuerk.
And crush Tuerk.
One never wishes to Tuerk anyone… including Tuerk.
That didn’t come out right.
One never wishes for a player to be Tuerked… including Tuerk.
Of course Tuerk wishes to Tuerk people. It’s what he does.
Tuerking off?
Was that Sarkisim?
He’s a Beav
JaQuori McLaughlin ?@Jroc_0 2m2 minutes ago
I’ve made the decision to commit to Oregon State University
Beavs land McLaughlin.
Hey Blazer, I logged in to break the news. ;)
Come on Fraser!!!
Down goes Fraser!
No!!!! We want him too!
He may be the glue guy to all our projected dreams.
Oh… Pitino might be looking at him too. The kid’s not stupid… Pitino that is.
No prob, might explain why my phone froze up when his commitment was announced.
So Jack, curious what you think this does for Fraser? He’s a PG but really think he’s more of a combo. I think we could still use him in the backcourt, especially after Payton and Duvivier both leave. Just dont know if he prefers the point?
Fraser is a man. He has that size. His handle is compact and straightforward. His perimeter game needs to be respected. He is a slasher with dimes. And his vision after his first step is awesome. His efficiency is so absolutely wonderful that he should be on everyone’s want list. When this kid is in the game, his +/- breaks the +/-.
That kind of player is my favorite type of player. Everyone who has the ego to need to be the star is satisfied when he’s on the floor because they look really good.
And he’s long and steady on D. There is no substitute for a long, quick defender who can dish. Them’s easy buckets right there.
Oh… and he follows his shots… and puts those on his tape.
He has the intuitive thought I look for beyond highlight tapes.
Angles… leverage… effort… discipline… all in spades.
Nice thanks just watched his tape. Handle is elite and he plays under control at ALL times. Love that in a young guard. He already excels at change of pace and has good to great court vision. Hopefully he goes our way.
#rodents have kick ass b-ball recruiting week.
Yeah… Minnie ain’t doing bad either… in non-hockey news.
Two top 100 guys in three days. I’ll take it. Coffey’s dad was the toughest mother I ever saw. Three years as a paratrooper in the 82nd will do that. CBB was child’s play.
Funny… saw many opposing sites say big time programs backed off him because of “issues.” Presumably that’s why they were also not getting him. I think Minnie was a lock for a couple weeks now.
Issues.
I see none with that kid.
Yellow journalism. He is a grounded, humble kid. The issue was his knee injury from last season which seems to be behind him
I know that. We’ll probably see the same about our own commits here. It’s a coping mechanism for the stupid.
Hold on! You can’t recruit to Corvallis. These stories must be internet fabrications.
I just got a bid request for an extension to Corvallis Muni’s runway. I believe the bed for the old runway still exists under some of those fields out there.
I guess the only reason to rebuild that runway is to accomodate large charters. That’s not enough reason without external funding to make it happen.
If our airport is good enough for AF1, then it’s good enough for me. Of course, that was back when the runway was longer too. But at least we can say AF1 touched down.
I’m sure our pal Lindsey choked on a hotdog with the recruiting news today, at least one can hope.
More like several
Not sure how hot dogs will fit past all the doughnuts.
thru the holes in the donuts. C’mon man, you gotta think like Lindsay!
Who else is heading to the game tonight? i’m leaving in the next hour. Hoping the good news the past 24 hours helps bring some energy to the crowd. Could be a turning point for the program if they can pull off the upset.
I’ll be in the student section.
Ayy lmao.
I’ll be there too… leaving now!
I hope for an upset but reality is that these Beavs just aren’t there yet… I’m predicting a 31-10 loss.
I’ll be there, too! Only to help serve concessions, but I’ll probably catch some of the 4th quarter during my break time!
I shall for the first time.
Already here enjoying the tailgate. Weather is close to perfect right now.
My 8 year old has a flag football game that starts at 7:00 tonight. Hafta go cheer for my little man. DVR for the win.
Absolutely ecstatic about the McLaughlin commit. Got a kid from Washington, so in addition to being really talented, he’s somewhat local. We’re gonna need another guard like Fraser regardless of what happens because of the nature of Tinkle’s offense (we will always need 4 solid guards, and next year we have JRoc, D Bruce, Malcolm, and Stevie) and you just never know so with a couple of spots to fill we probably get a big and a Juco wing, plus a tweener wing/post type of guy.
RE: Stanford. I pretty much expect a replay of the Michigan game minus a few big mistakes. This team is not yet ready to beat an upper-echelon PAC-12 team that has proven it can win on the road. Look for improvement… baby steps. JB
Yeah… it’s going to take more from us than what we’ve seen thus far to win outright. But SU is not upper echelon. If they are, the Pac is in trouble this year.
I’d agree but their QB situation is a mess, so there’s reason to think upset if the beavs get some offense.

Not a Dr. but will play 1 on Twitter: From what I see of Hogan moving during warm-ups, he’ll play

How the F does Boise St keep winning?
Sitting here watching the South Campus camera. Good to see all that orange.
Go Beavs!
Let’s go Beavs!
