And UConn, another wayward independent program, thrashed a mediocre ACC program in Boston College today. I don’t know what happened to Wazzu against North Texas, but otherwise, they have handled their circumstances so much better than the Beavs.

This is crazy so far. Are the Beavs not even G-6 caliber athletes, or are they just that poorly coached? The O-line hasn’t come close to opening a hole for Hankerson, and the defense looks slow against an FCS opponent.

It is an interesring contrast to watch the Utah/BYU game and see how differently those teams play compared to our Beavs. Every play in that game is a quick, physical collision. OSU always seems to be playing a bit faster than half speed and never quite all-out abandon. I think Utah or BYU would completely destroy OSU. It is kind of shocking how quickly the program has collapsed.

OSU came out more focused for about 10 minutes and now seem to be flatering back to the norm. Lafayette has a great shot to beat OSU actually. So weird to watch it and see nothing change week after week.

They need to approach qb position pay with more of a rule of thumb approach. Maybe 2x more than the average starting lineman (more for center and lt), like the nfl.

Yeah I’ve already had that thought. Akey’s act will get old pretty fast when they aren’t playing FCs teams. Enthusiastic leadership style is nice for front runners but not for program builders.
