Oregon State @ Oregon (Game Week)

450

This is going to be a game where you can make any analogy with the butt. Butt pounding, prison style, etc, so post your favorite butt phrases below. That given, I’m most curious to hear where Beaver fans are at after that brutal loss.

– We have a gambler at HC who is likely going to leave.
– We had a chance at a special season that our HC sabotaged.
– We’re about to get our butts made sore by the Ducks.
– We’re headed to the MWC or something equally bad like adding them to the PAC.
– We’re about to lose a lot of our best players to the transfer portal.

We went from a program on the rise with an up and coming HC to a program one game away from being left out of P5 for good, our coach getting poached. And before you say other schools won’t want him after his poor calls this year, realize: even though he is not good at in game management, we have such a bad reputation that everyone but us will objectively see him as brilliant.

So where are you at? I’m very defeated. I don’t see anything bright in the offing.

Ducks 56, Beavs 24

Secondary prediction: Sith gets poached before our bowl game.

I’m sticking with the pick from the prior thread, and hoping no matter the outcome, the refs don’t play a part in this game either way.

Logic pick: Huskies 35-28
Heart pick: Beavs somehow pull out a nail biter 33-30

The Beavs get snubbed by Gameday for James Madison. What a joke that is, but ESPN basically owns the Ducks and probably does not want to give the Beavs any added pub if the game next week is for all the marbles. That’s what this joke of a game has become.

My gut says the Huskies are the better team with a passing attack we can’t fully stop. So the questions becomes can we stop that passing game enough, can we feed off the home field, can we feed of the Gameday snub, can we run on the Huskies enough to setup a few big plays downfield, can we get a big play or two on ST, and can Smith call an appropriate game? These are the ways you win games you’re not supposed to win. Regarding Smith: I do think this is the type of game it’s appropriate to be more aggressive than usual. That doesn’t mean stupid, but say it’s 4th and 1 at the 40. Go for those types of plays in this type of game.

Go Beavs!

Gooo Beavs.

3 games left in Pac history. Savor them, Beavos. Let’s win this convincingly and set it up for an interesting penultimate and finale.

44-13, Beavs.

It’s weird to think we have 3 Pac games left in our history. It feels like the season just started.

Anyway, Stanford has been playing better lately, but if we zoom out big picture, they’re a program in decline with 4 straight losing seasons and a max of 4 wins per season in that time frame, whereas the Beavs are the opposite. Beavs at home. You have to love the Beavs in this game even factoring for Smith costing them 7 points, which he will do, and then he’ll chase those points, leading to a weird final score.

30-14, Beavs.
