Have at it, guys.
Obviously the big story is the Beavs getting their first road win in years. Huge game for the program in that sense. Have to get that albatross off the neck. Then we can build from there.
So far, I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Blount and Smith. We just look more like a proper football team, even if the talent is lacking. Feeling optimistic (especially with the 3 big time recruits we’ve landed in the past few weeks), but a loss to Nevada will crush some of that, so this is a big game in that sense, too.
For those of you who have scouted Nevada, let us know what you think of that team.
My gut says this will be a close game, but I like Smith’s approach on offense — play calling/efficiency might be the difference.

Who’s the next head coach, and is this the end of Beaver Baseball?
The good news: Casey will remain in the OSU athletic department as a Special Assistant to the VP and Athletic Director.
Game Week-SUU and General thread
Oregon State was handled pretty easily by Ohio State last week, as most expected. We saw some reasons for optimism and the Beavs appear to have the talent and coaching to reach 3-4 wins this season, but likely not much more than that. Baby steps.
Southern Utah is coming up Saturday, 5PM, in Coach Smith’s first game at Reser. I’m sure “The Return” will be pushed heavily this week in advertising by the AD.
Are you going? No students on campus yet and a Big Sky opponent are the recipe for a half full Reser on Saturday, even given the optimal start time. Does the return draw in a few more fans and make the crowd look respectable?
There should be a few official visitors this week(will update names in the thread later) as well as several unofficial. OSU seems to be trying hard to encourage local athletes to come to any and all home games by sending out invites. Hopefully some choose to come see us over oregon vs PSU.
