I had no idea Collier had a 6 year old kid. Had her when he was 16. I couldnt imagine raising a daughter at that age. Nice little story from the Barometer.

I imagine they’d take him but Cookie Monster won’t last to pick 32. Since the combine his stock keeps rising. Several analysts that now have him as the #3 Receiver behind Watkins and Evans. Cooks is being dubbed (which we’ve all known for a while) a “Special” athlete.

I am only ok with taking a CBI bid if the Beavers don’t pay to host any games. I also hope CR takes the Princeton job. I don’t know that I would fire him though. A lot of money to pay out and he has done well at fund raising and bringing in decent kids but I think he needs to do better next year (at least NIT) to keep his job, which I kind of doubt he can do.
No to the CBI and No to keeping CR. He’s had 6 years. Time to throw the baby out with the bath water. You want a comparison? Look at what Utah has done in 3 years under Kystkowiak. They’ve improved every year. Remember them 2 years ago in their first season in the Pac? They were awful. And they were better this year and went .500 in a better than average conference. CR is not getting it done. Folks say we can’t afford to get rid of him. I say how can we afford not to?
I’d be ok with Howland. He knows defense. Honestly, we are not going to get the athletes to Corvallis that say Arizona or UCLA are going to get. How did Dick Bennett turn Wazzu around? By playing Bennett ball (pssst, defense). I know they were boring to watch, but honestly its the only way I see this ship getting righted.

Collier getting noticeably frustrated. Just turned to teammates and said, “Come on man, seriously?”
What I don’t get is the poor fundamentals. Poor defensive pressure, not good block-outs, and poor ball handling and decision making. At one point they shot 7-9 but had six straight possessions with a turnover and a 10 point lead was a 1pt deficit. Those lack of fundamentals have not improved over the programs tenure.
They had a super athlete on top of the 1-3-1 in Seth Tarver and a true point guard and leader in Ricky Claitt, but I’ve also wondered why CR didn’t stick to that formula and recruit accordingly. It could have defined his coaching style and philosophy. I don’t know what the hell it is now.

Well, there is a CBI, and apparently powers that be want it in Gill again this year. The only way we won’t be in it is if we’re invited to a real tournament. A friend told me they’ve been asking the security folks about their schedules next week…

Last nights miserable performance is one thing that I hope “stays in Vegas.” On to the CBI if there is one thing this team needs it’s more exposure. JB
I wondered about that, too. Maybe Robbins will go, but with the 3 leaving and maybe Moreland, it opens up those starting positions and minutes that I’m sure all the guys feel like they can get.

Doctor got his medical year back, so he doesn’t have to burn a redshirt, I guess in case he gets hurt again? Browner got reinstated to the NFL.
That’s good news.
He wouldn’t have been able to use a redshirt this past season since he played. It was either the medical hardship or he was done.
