Baseball Starting Rotation

43

Just a quick post: Rasmussen needs to start over Jake Thompson (terrible, not sure why some liked him ever).

Right now Moore, Eckert, and Rasmussen are pitching best. I’d give Heimlich one more start to prove his mettle, otherwise to the pen, young man. Eckert might not hold up, so if Heimlich moves to the pen he could pitch long relief those days.

The lineup I’ll discuss after this weekend’s game.

The bottom line is this Jake Thompson experiment needs to end now.

  1. Sadly, I agree. JT pitched well in the last tourney game. Thought he would step it up this year, but that obviously has not happened. Next man up.

  2. Rotation is going to be Moore on Friday, Eckert on Saturday, and TBD for Sunday. So it appears the Jake Thompson experiment is dying down.

  3. BIG time news everyone! I’m either playing in these last few games or I will be transferring.

Not sure where yet, but sending my highlight tape to Duke, Kentucky, UCONN, and Florida. My agent says they may have interest and it doesn’t seem like coach Tinkle realizes what type of player he has in me! For realz!!!!

So I’ve been watching this baseball team and they don’t look very good, top to bottom. I was thinking about walking into coach Casey’s office and telling him I want to play baseball instead. Start right away. If nothing else, would show some of the other Beaver coaches that I am a supreme athlete! Haven’t played in a game since 8th grade, but I’d be one of the best players in the pac12 if I wanted to be.

  4. Ducks win at Cal 80-69. I guess that’s a good result for the Beavs as Cal can do better than 9-9 and they’re final two games are at Arizona and ASU after they play the Beavs on Sunday. Even if the Beavs don’t win another game I don’t see them finishing any worse than 7th. ASU could potentially pass them. Other than at Utah their other 3 games are winnable. Really hope the Beavs can finish where they currently are in 6th. That would probably get them UW in the opening round of the Pac-12 tourney. Stanford has some tough games coming up too and they’re only 1/2 game ahead in the standings. Tomorrow nights games for both the men and ladies against Stanford are huge.

I also don’t get it. I watch the ducks and I don’t think they’re anything special. They have some decent shooters and guys that can drive and finish but their defense is average at best. They turn the ball over more than their opponent. What gives? Smoke and mirrors?

  5. Anywho, we can expect a ‘doubleheader’ thread shall we? The women look to close out the outright Pac-12 season title against Stanford at 6, and the men look to steal one in Palo Alto at 8. The men have completely earned my respect, the outcome in the W-L column doesn’t matter. I’ve been happy to watch this team all year. They compete, they bought in, they represent.

Also, some of you guys should check out Drew Eubanks’ Instagram…it’s mostly unbearable but he’s been getting some nasty dunks lately. If he’s a “project”, I am beyond happy.
