  1. If Hamblin was able to get out of her own head after the Pac-12 tournament, I think the team can go Elite 8 or beyond

Go BWBs! (not BBWs… although they are kind of BBWs, just not in “that” sense)

  2. Spent all day at the Rose Garden, great college atmosphere. All the games, except the UA beat down, were entertaining. Tourney well run…I hope WT had some of the returning players in attendance. It would be a great motivator as to possibilities.

Back tomorrow, expect Arizona and Georgetown to advance.

For those of you in the PDX area, there were and still are lots of seats available. Scalpers all over the entrances, can’t imagine they’re getting face value. JB

    • Walked down from work for session 2 and we scored seats in the first row of the 200 level for less than half of face value. Happens every time they play games here, as long as the teams aren’t local.

Place started to fill in after half-time of the Utah game, but the 300 level was way less than 50% full. I’m guessing Saturday will be a little different since it’s not a work day, but I highly recommend going if you have the time.

  3. Wrestling update:

Latham finally drops one 5-2. Has to wait for the wrestlebacks to get another opponent and another chance at being an AA.

Meeks did not come to play today… trades take downs for escapes early… just never defended low… loses 14-5.

  4. Thanks to Jack for the wrestling updates. Hey ol’ buddy…while your’e at it could you please update us on the National Quilting Bee Championship?

Rumor is that Thelma McGee might be losing to Harriet Anderson in the 80+ free stitch division.

    • Did you guys drop your quilting bee team for baseball too? That would explain why you’re up to date on recruiting for that sport.

    • Stitching methods, fabric selection, border styles….

So much to talk about! Might be deserving of it’s own thread

      Go Old-Lady Beavs!

        • Gross indeed.
Years ago, while doing some contract work for Nike, I shorted their stock. From the disorganized way they ran production I was convinced they couldn’t sustain the existing stock price. As I watched the stock continue to rise I kept shaking my head. How could the marketplace not see what I saw.
Finally the entire market crashed and I was able to get out with a slight gain.

I still have no respect for their way of doing business, but they sure can market. Somewhat similar to Tektronix whose technological expertise masked, for a long time, their lax manufacturing methods.

          • If you look at the Nike chart, it’s getting close to parabolic.

There are so many good shorts lining up. It’s just a matter of timing, as it always is with shorting. I have a list of 30 companies I want to short, but I haven’t pulled the trigger on any yet, because the stock market is still wildly delusional, and our central bank is about to destroy the dollar again (we can’t run this speculative/debt based economy with a 97 USD index).

    • Only wrestling I’m interested in is ladies nude mud wrestling. I have no interest in 2 dudes engaged in what amounts to foreplay

    • I really don’t see them making it very far (or potentially past this game) with these continual slow starts. This should have been fixed weeks ago.

  5. Lose the lead at the half. I’d say the lady beavs D is pretty bad (too much space, especially in the lane). These Jackrabbits are making some tough shots, and the refs have been atrocious.

  6. Anyone else catch that Oklahoma St logo ESPN just flashed before that tv timeout? Dear ESPN, double fuck you. Signed, Oregon fucking St assholes
