OT… in the wrestlebacks:
Bresser loses to and is eliminated by the 2 seed from Cornell, 13-3. Crawford the same to the 12 seed from Wyoming, 12-1. Elder was losing in the third but turned the guy over for a quick pin.
So Elder, Meeks and Latham are left. Win one, and they’re AA with a chance to place as high as 3rd. Lose now and they’re eliminated.
All wrestlers eliminated in the blood round. No AAs. Elder went down to Ian Miller, who was jobbed in a big way in the quarters when the refs didn’t score a point for him with seconds left in the match. That will be the scandal of this tourney for years.
Pac-12 network on dish showing Arizona/Stanford. Nothing on alternate channels. Stream it from pac-12.com shitty website is what I’m doing. The plug craptop into tv via hdmi cable
Difference in the game is that Moore’s only walked 1 and cougar pitchers have walked 6. Coug pitchers have hit two beaver batters. Both teams with 5 hits. Moore with 8 Ks and coug staff with 5.
Clutch K to get the second out with the runner on third. Righty coming up should be the last batter Moore faces.
And with the FO, Moore should be done, 8 complete is enough. And 114 pitches is his high for this season.
On to the b8, Beavs up 5-2
He’s going too deep into each start…he will be worn down by the halfway point. Plus if he wants any career after OSU all things innings are not good on a young arm.
Moore will be fine. And he’ll be a baller beyond college. This decision might have had to do with the weather. When I got up there it turned into a downpour. I don’t think they stopped for that half hour… or so.
I can’t beleive that game continued, let alone finished.
Important to take the next two in this series to offset last week. All season long the Beavs have to sweep lower tier teams cause some of the leaders are gonna be rough.
Probably, but based on the pre-season prognosticators, I would put the Beavs in that category also. Especially if they can keep it going in league play. Also, nice to see the Ducks hittting the skids, the longer their slump goes on the better!!
There was a ot of talk about this and that talent returning for this and that team. Nikegon was way overrated for pitching. ASU was way underrated. I’m disappointed in our outcome there. But RPI will not show it as poor in the end. And then I don’t care about our sister school to the south who gave up wrestling (unnecessarily) and, according to booster Bob, quilting bee, just to make a stadium out of Shakedown Street.
I’m always afraid that losses to Nikegon will affect our RPI.
I’ll probably finish in the 10th percentile, though, because I have some bad, eliminated teams making the sweet 16…like Texas and Baylor. Lol. So I will get almost no points that round. It’s crazy how well I did other than 3 terrible picks, though.
With 35 games done, that’s statistically impossible. One wrong pick puts you at 97.143%.
I lost one with Dayton beating BYU. Beyond that, I picked all lower seeds except for tOSU, UCLA and UAB. Then I went chalk for the rest of the tourney except for Zony beating Wiscy
I have Arizona winning it all, though, and I think that is a terrible pick. They are overrated. I just picked them because they were the highest seed in the Pac. I also had UCLA winning two, which helped a lot. I felt they were underrated. I had Utah losing in the first round, thinking they are way overrated. I think Georgetown destroys them.
Georgetown destroys them huh? When Utah has it going they’re tough. They rolled after falling behind by 10. I wouldn’t be afraid of Duke either but I have San diego St beating them tomorrow
I pick against the Ducks, Duke and Kentucky no matter what, so I don’t get very far. I hate elite programs, not always because of the coaches or players, but because of their fans. I have Wisconsin going through.
I’ll be watching Gretler today, he’s shown some solid baserunning and baseball IQ in his limited playing time this season. Batting #8 at .167, needs exposure to raise that.
Morrison’s poor throw on the first out t2 is the second poor throw since Jim Wilson commented a few games back that Trevor had such an accurate arm that there was never any concern in that area. Curse of JW?
Nice play by Harrison to handle the throw and get the out.
Clark first ball swinging today, not sure I like that. But, with this pitcher an errant throw (and certainly a BB) isn’t as likely as with some so maybe no big deal.
Glad to have the stream, but really miss the replays we get on PAC12 Net.
Of course with the stream we get to hear Parker seeking advice on how to pronounce “arabica” coffee beans.
Gabe Clark now hitting .125 in conference play. Pay Casey leaves him cleanup. I’ve been saying since game 1 this guy cannot bat cleanup in Conference play.
I’m watching this game, tuned in about the fourth inning and Parker keeps talking about 1-2-3 innings and I’m wondering if Rasmussen has a no-hitter. I’m wondering if Parker just doesn’t want to jinx him. I figure surely they’ve got at least one hit, but no; the last out and it’s not only a no-hitter, but a no-walker, a perfect game. Sweet. I remember a couple years ago one of our guys threw a no-hitter, but wow, a perfect game. Congratulations to Drew behind some solid defense!!!
An OK performance by Gretler today, very good D and a timely RBI (even though due, in large part to a drawn in infield). Only downside I remember is the possible missed sign early on.
Gretzler is a solid, line drive/gap hitter. I’d rather see him at 3B than Hamilton unless he completely fails in the field. Casey gave up on Carey too quickly. He had good swings just poor results. He fell for Clark ganging up on bad pitching again. We went through that last year. Surprised Casey can’t see it.
This came up in a google search (i.e. I’m not a consumer of Breitbart), but I thought this was kind of funny and also indicative of how vile right wing politics can be.
What I was googling, and what someone can maybe help me with, is why Oregon state couldn’t ever make it in to the NCAA tournament when they had players like Corey Benjamin, or Brent Barry, Carson Cunningham, JB Bickerstaff…
I was a little kid back then so wasn’t a follower. One of you older fans must have some insight. Did the beavs ever come close to a tourny birth over the last 25 years?
no. Bickerstaff transferred to Minnesota, Benjamin left after his sophomore season for a failed pro career (he wasn’t ready for the NBA) and Cunningham transferred to Purdue. Ron Grady eventually transferred as well. I believe to Colorado State. Eddie Payne was left with nothing of his much heralded recruiting class. Although he did eventually sign a JC guy named Phillip Ricci who was pretty good, that kind of sealed Payne’s fate. That and he was a hot head. Broke numerous clipboards slamming them on the floor and I was told of another incident where he threw a tennis racket onto the roof of the country club while playing tennis.
The P-10 was pretty stacked the “Beav Fab Five’s” first season. I think they lost 20 games. Most of the time the Beavs had one real good player, the other teams had 3 or 4.
This. It was either the 1994 or 95 team that had Jelani Boline won only one or two games in the pax-10. I remember the OT win against usc as I was there. It was mind boggling that osu went from that good to that bad in that short of a time. Poor coaching (sorry Jim Anderson) and even worse recruiting
I remember the 95-96 team being god awful, maybe 4 or 5 wins? I think they was a 3 or 4 year stretch in that period of not winning 10 games in a season.
“Robinson just couldn’t deliver on any of his promises when he was hired,” Register-Guard sports reporter Benjamin Schorzman recently said. “Frankly I think his relationship to the Obamas was the only reason he lasted six years because Oregon State was middling to bad every year.”
Yeah that Register Guard is a real right wing conservative mouthpiece.
Nationally ranked ucks lose their series vs ASU. Playing at home, the ucks don’t fare any better than the freshman laden Beavs did on the road. Pending tomorrow’s game they may well fare worse.
Ahh, but those white uni’s with random scraps of green/yellow look sooooooo classy!
As always…FTD!
Harrison gets an assist. In the second inning he made a great stretch to get the out on an errant throw by Morrison and then later on (6th I think) he made a good fielding play on a sharply hit ball down the 1b line and retired the batter unassisted.
The cougs only hit the ball hard twice all day. Rasmussen with 10 Ks and the cougs never did figure him out.
The atmosphere at Goss in the 9th was absolutely electric. What a great college baseball game. And it was over in less than 2 hours.
An E at any point could ruin a perfect game, so everyone who touched the ball gets just a little bit of an assist. Along with Harrison, Gretler (as noted during the game) deserves a little extra love. Charging and getting the PO on at least two slow grounders caught my attention.
It’s all good.
Does the catcher, Dane Lund, get any credit for catching the perfect game? Mike Parker noted that at no time during the game, no one, no one ever at all, went to the mound.
CANNOT believe I missed that game, hopefully they replay in on PAC-12. What a gem. Rasmussen is now a force with the confidence coming out of this outing.
Guy behind me was making laser sounds when he pitched… pew… pew, pew… for a couple innings. It was kinda annoying, but then I figured it was better to hear that than it was to hear groans. Then we started talking about how Lund was going to need to ice his glove hand tonight.
There were some massive pops in that mitt today.
Made me not feel so guilty for leaving in the fifth last night. Sucks that the women’s game is at 7:00. I want to stick around after bezbol to see it, but it’s just too far into the evening.
It’s my last chance to cheer against a Tinkle on our floor. :)
And the mighty Big East is reduced to one… Xavier. They play Zony next?
Buh-bye Big East.
SEC has only one team left too. But they might be a good one. B1G will likely be reduced to one tomorrow as well… unless the Pac keeps up with the ACC with a zero in the loss column.
ACC is 10-0 with four games tomorrow. Pac is 7-0 with one more this weekend.
Rooting for SDSU against Duke tomorrow. If they and Zags win tomorrow, a team from the West is guaranteed a Final Four spot… in the South bracket.
Feeling pretty good about how we did this year despite running out of gas. The Pac showing well this year will only help the 5-8 teams who will be on the bubble next year. With depth next year, we should be pushing for a top four or better finish next season.
Gotta go over to the Gopherboard to see if they have any news on next year’s scheduling.
Jim Wilson tweets, “Keep your ticket stub from Drew Rasmussen’s perfect game – because the 2,875 actually in attendance will bloat to 3x that over the years”
Sparty sends the ACC champs packing. Have to love Izzo. This was a pretty average team by their standards, but he has them in the Sweet Sixteen again. Trice has been a fun player to watch, but I’m glad he is graduating.
Two WTF losses in the non-conference, but Izzo has them ready to play in the tourney. I don’t follow Sparty hoops that closely, but Izzo seems pretty down to earth for that level.
Joy of joys…..Watch ESPN is finally available through DirecTV. Now if DirecTV and the P-12 can get their shit together before the season starts, I will gladly bid goodbye to our Ukranian friends.
Gabe Clark has been having such bad luck of late. Two hard hit balls caught up against the wall, another line drive at the center fielder this series. Still showing great patience at the plate and getting on base. His hits will come if he keeps hitting the ball hard
He wasn’t hitting the ball hard as consistently as he is this year. He’s having the right approach. All about the process. If he keeps hitting the ball hard balls will fall in
He has gotten better this year. He wasn’t good last year in conference play. Got on base at an okay rate but wasn’t squaring pitches up that much. This year he’s squaring pitches up but not being rewarded. When some of these hard hit balls fall in he won’t be as criticized.
Clark leads off the 7th with another shot to the warning track.
I realize the Beavs are young, but don’t the Cougs look old?,,,as in mature for college guys?
The release from OSU says of Morrison, “Because Donahue had not scored by the time Morrison hit second, the game-winner was ruled a double and capped off a 3-for-4 day for the sophomore.”
Parker’s description on the electric radio seemed clear to me, although he didn’t mention that Morrison got to second before Donahue could get to the plate.
Go Beavs!
go Beavs
OT… in the wrestlebacks:
Bresser loses to and is eliminated by the 2 seed from Cornell, 13-3. Crawford the same to the 12 seed from Wyoming, 12-1. Elder was losing in the third but turned the guy over for a quick pin.
So Elder, Meeks and Latham are left. Win one, and they’re AA with a chance to place as high as 3rd. Lose now and they’re eliminated.

100% chance of rain tonight. Are they gonna get this game in? Weather looks shitty for most of the weekend
Probably not. It looks like tomorrow afternoon until about 3pm Sunday is clear, and then more rain.
OT… as poorly as Okie St. has played on both ends, I’m wondering how the hell they’re within 20 in this game.
This has just been a terrible game except for Young on offense.
Parker said that if they could get the first pitch in by 10:00pm they’d at least start tonight.
First pitch now scheduled for 7:05pm. They’re underway in Eugene
Tinkle’s Daughter & Gonzaga vs OSU Sunday…
Moore enters the game with 38 IP, a 1-0 record with a 1.43 ERA and WHIP of 0.763
Moore with two Ks in the t1.
The game doesn’t appear to be on Pac-12 Network. What’s up with that?
Seems to be on P12-Oregon
Interesting. There’s nothing coming through any of the alternate Pac-12 channels on my end. Luck O’ Dansen?
Pac-12 network on dish showing Arizona/Stanford. Nothing on alternate channels. Stream it from pac-12.com shitty website is what I’m doing. The plug craptop into tv via hdmi cable
Yeah, DISH isn’t showing anything other than Arizona/Stanford. Was unaware of the Pac-12 online stream. Thanks Whiskey!
Pac-12 website streams are awful. Choppy and constantly freeze up.
Moore getting the strike call at the knees and is ahead of every hitter, another 1-2-3 inning.
In b1 the Beavs had 3 fly balls and a BB by KJ
Nice job by Morrison to handle the low throw from Ice to end the t3. 0-0.
Harrison gives the Beavs a 2-0 lead with his 7th dinger of the season after Hendrix had singled.
Moore strikes out the side in the 4th.
Mo strikes out the side in t4, filthy stuff at times and nice camera work.
b5 no outs sacks juiced and Church a soft FC RBI, nice baserunning by Harrison to not get caught off of third. 1 out 3-0 good guys.
Bases loaded with one out and pitcher slipping. This could be good.
Really raining and Ice with a good AB and the sac fly, 4-0
Hamilton strikes out to end the inning with 2 RISP
Need a better option than Caleb Hamilton.
An infield hit and an error on Hamilton and the first two cougs aboard.
Sorry, one out.
sacks juiced for the cougs with 2 down.
The big stick for the cougs takes an 0-2 fastball to the warning track but Moore survives.
Thru 6, Mo with 60 strikes of 83 total pitches! Maybe tonight he’ll get a well deserved W.
Runs into trouble with 3 singles in the inning and it’s 4-2 with the tying runner at the dish with two out.
Moore strikes out the PH. At the stretch 4-2.
Lefties coming up for their 4th look at Mo. Maybe time for the pen, even with Mo still throwing strikes but giving up better AB’s.
Difference in the game is that Moore’s only walked 1 and cougar pitchers have walked 6. Coug pitchers have hit two beaver batters. Both teams with 5 hits. Moore with 8 Ks and coug staff with 5.
Heads up, Angry, Cary coming in to run for Clark.
Nobach knocks in the PR Cary but is out at 3b trying to stretch the double. Very good relay throw right on the money. 5-2 heading to the 8th
Moore over 100 pitches now in t8.
Beavers projected for next season ; Beaver transfer men’s basketball players in the tournaments
Wha ????
One is for four. Seven and fluffy clouds ferment in the ground.
How do you slide headfirst on field turf? Looks painful…
When it’s wet? Puh-lease.
One out triple to the gap in right center
Moore fans Sagdal for the 3rd time tonight
Fly out to Hendrix and it looked like it almost popped out of his glove.
Clutch K to get the second out with the runner on third. Righty coming up should be the last batter Moore faces.
And with the FO, Moore should be done, 8 complete is enough. And 114 pitches is his high for this season.
On to the b8, Beavs up 5-2
Beavs start a two out rally with a Donahue BB, Hendrix single and SB but T Mo fans to end the inning.
Moore answers the bell.
Too many innings for Andrew Moore.
Good, get him out of there.
Amen, 122 pitches and rain beginning to pour!
He’s going too deep into each start…he will be worn down by the halfway point. Plus if he wants any career after OSU all things innings are not good on a young arm.
Not the first time Casey pushed a bit too hard. Just because the horse will give you its all doesn’t make it smart to push the limit every time.
Moore will be fine. And he’ll be a baller beyond college. This decision might have had to do with the weather. When I got up there it turned into a downpour. I don’t think they stopped for that half hour… or so.
I can’t beleive that game continued, let alone finished.
it was fucking pouring in Corvallis and Philomath several times during play. Can’t believe they didn’t halt play a few times
It’s that field surface, right? My son played a tournament in 50 degree, pouring rain with that shit. I guess the drainage is amazing.
Moore gets his 10th K for out number two and then Yeskie comes to the mound and Moore gives way to Heimlich
Mo shows his leadership when pulled with one out to go, shakes hands with everyone near the mound on the way out.
Heimlich gets the strikeout and the save.
Important to take the next two in this series to offset last week. All season long the Beavs have to sweep lower tier teams cause some of the leaders are gonna be rough.
yep. a sweep would be just what the doctor ordered. WSU is running their best pitcher out there on Saturday
ASU takes a 7-6 lead over the ducks in the 10th
Ucks lose, 7-6. 15 LOB.
as of tonight, Cal, 16-5 and 3-1 Pac-12 is tied for first. Could they be the surprise in conference play this season (ala Washington last year)?
http://www.d1baseball.com/conferences/pac12.htm
So just don’t lose to them.
“So just don’t lose to them” sometimes the most sage advice is the simplest.
GO BEAVS (w or w/o beavs)!
Those who don’t have Beavs always want Beavs.
Well… that’s pretty linear.
I hate all things Nikegon, I want them to lose even when a win by them could possibly help the Beavers. Sorry it’s who I am.
My tourney bracket is 99.4%. Crazy.
Accurate or inaccurate?
Accurate.
I’ll probably finish in the 10th percentile, though, because I have some bad, eliminated teams making the sweet 16…like Texas and Baylor. Lol. So I will get almost no points that round. It’s crazy how well I did other than 3 terrible picks, though.
?
With 35 games done, that’s statistically impossible. One wrong pick puts you at 97.143%.
I lost one with Dayton beating BYU. Beyond that, I picked all lower seeds except for tOSU, UCLA and UAB. Then I went chalk for the rest of the tourney except for Zony beating Wiscy
Should have clarified: “percentile”
Ahhh… that is crazy.
Weird.
Utah stinks. G-town must be worse.
I pick against the Ducks, Duke and Kentucky no matter what, so I don’t get very far. I hate elite programs, not always because of the coaches or players, but because of their fans. I have Wisconsin going through.
This is the first year I’ve ever picked all four 8 seeds to win. It’s also the first time I remember them all winning.
I’ll be watching Gretler today, he’s shown some solid baserunning and baseball IQ in his limited playing time this season. Batting #8 at .167, needs exposure to raise that.
Nice stretch by KJ on the wide throw by Morrison
Morrison’s poor throw on the first out t2 is the second poor throw since Jim Wilson commented a few games back that Trevor had such an accurate arm that there was never any concern in that area. Curse of JW?
Nice play by Harrison to handle the throw and get the out.
Who is pitching for WSU?
Their ace, Pistorese, sure has a nice snap to first, doesn’t he.
Heavy lefty lineup for the Cougs and Rasmussen is just dominating the hitters. 3 Ks through 2 and Beavs lead 1-0 on Harrison’s RBI
Nobach CS and Gretler didn’t do much to try and protect the runner and then fans.
Parker observed Pat Bailey talking to Gretler after that AB, opines that he missed a hit/run sign. Believable.
Lost opertunity. Two on and one out and KJ fans and Clark lines out to CF. Good contact but straight away center
Clark first ball swinging today, not sure I like that. But, with this pitcher an errant throw (and certainly a BB) isn’t as likely as with some so maybe no big deal.
5 Ks for Drew through 4. Cougar hitters can’t catch up to him.
On the other hand, the Beavs haven’t figured out the Cougar lefty either.
Glad to have the stream, but really miss the replays we get on PAC12 Net.
Of course with the stream we get to hear Parker seeking advice on how to pronounce “arabica” coffee beans.
Gretler not making much of his chance today.
Hard to believe he has started 9 games, I’d have guessed less than 6.
Morrison aboard on the second wsu error but inning over as Hendrix GIDP. Hard hit ball but the SS was cheating toward 2b and made the play.
My bracket is currently in the 99.8 percentile ????????????????
6 innings in the book for Rasmussen. 75 pitches; throwing strikes at just under the rate of Andrew last night but a bit more dominating, so far.
It put question marks for my heart eye emojis! How rude. Anyways, if ab has a group someone should let me know what it is…. I’m on the espn brackets
Gabe Clark is so bad. haha
Darn good pitchers duel. Coug thrower has only allowed one run on 3 hits. Rasmussen just better
This game has the feel of a WBB slow start, nerve racking (wracking?).
Gabe Clark now hitting .125 in conference play. Pay Casey leaves him cleanup. I’ve been saying since game 1 this guy cannot bat cleanup in Conference play.
He is finding his identity.
Leadoff single in the 7th for the Beavs, Jansen in to run. Need insurance here.
Gretler with a big chance. 2 RISP with one out.
Infield in and Gretler grounds one by the 3bman. Corners for T Mo
RBI for Gretler.
Old school beaver baseball squeezes another run in.
Hendrix looks really bad at the plate this trip. End of 7, 3-0
Nice play there by Gretler to range left and handle the slow grounder for the final out in the 8th. 3-0.
Clark is gonna get a chance to shame Angry, third guy due up this inning.
Surprise, surprise, he fails. A 3 pitch K.
On to the 9th.
Perfect!!
Wow.
told casey to get DR in there. now he needs to get clark out of there, and find a better option than hamilton. do all that, and the team can be great.
Saw Drew pitch vs Grambling. So strong.
Clark’s BA down to .118 after today with .176 slugging. 7 Ks in 17 AB (Conference games only)
First perfect game by a Beavers pitcher… Ever,… Per Beavers Baseball Twitter… Wow
Sweet. An OK performance by Gretler today, very good D and a timely RBI (even though due, in large part to a drawn in infield). Only downside I remember is the possible missed sign early on.
Was he at 3B?
I think they should try to get Carey going…at least platoon him in the 4 slot with Clark.
Yup, 3B. Could have failed to get the runner twice late; and may not have even been charged with an E.
Based on today, I doubt he’ll fail in the field. As said before, he has shown smart baserunning and IQ.
Platooning Carey with Clark seems a good start, and a no brainer.
Through 8 full, ucks down 2-1. Only 3 LOB so far vs 15 yesterday.
This came up in a google search (i.e. I’m not a consumer of Breitbart), but I thought this was kind of funny and also indicative of how vile right wing politics can be.

Zony, UCLA, Stanford….
Other than those three, only OSU (1990) and Nikegon (2002) won the conference between 1986 and 2008.
Not getting Stoudamire was the start of it all.
Then Earnest died, and Jimmy was never the same.
That would have been a killer team with BB, Mighty Mouse and a healthy Killum.
Alas, no.
This. It was either the 1994 or 95 team that had Jelani Boline won only one or two games in the pax-10. I remember the OT win against usc as I was there. Ducks have got to start spiraling down the rankings soon, as of yesterday Utah had a better conference record.

Final thoughts on the Perfect Game.

little noted with baseball excitement – OSU softball defeats Stanford 10-0 – mercy rule invoked. 1st Pac-12 win.
Beautiful day in Corvallis today… just beautiful.
In fact, one could say it was perfect.
That was the fastest game I have ever attended by far. Bracket’s blowin’ up, and I don’t care.
lady Beavs game is at 4pm tomorrow, not 7
Oooohhhhh!!!!!!
TV being nice to us? New plans need to be made. I had already given up.
And now that I look at it… I’m an idiot. That’s 7pm EDT.
Cool, cool, cool, cool!!!
I’ve picked pretty much every other game incorrectly, but I’m perfect on the Pac-12 teams so far.
Reason #10,007 to not bet on sports. I had ND -3.5, Butler with a meaningless dunk with 1 second left to lose by 3.
BTW I Hope Wisconsin wins by 1,000 tomorrow. Beavs were 2-3 vs teams in the sweet 16.
“Death to Wisconsin. Death to the ducks!”
This is a nightmare.
It means that you lose and it means that Butler finishes without quitting.

Jim Wilson tweets, “Keep your ticket stub from Drew Rasmussen’s perfect game – because the 2,875 actually in attendance will bloat to 3x that over the years”
Beer will do that to ya.
Beavs and Bougars scoreless thru 4. On pac-12 network
Harrison comes through again, 1-0 Beavs on the RBI double.
Clark shows off his warning track power.
b5 Harrison with an RBI double, Morrison has no trouble keeping his footing and scores from first.
Coug base runners have coug’d it twice between 2nd and 3rd lol
Gabe Clark has been having such bad luck of late. Two hard hit balls caught up against the wall, another line drive at the center fielder this series. Still showing great patience at the plate and getting on base. His hits will come if he keeps hitting the ball hard
Uh huh. Just like last year?
He wasn’t hitting the ball hard as consistently as he is this year. He’s having the right approach. All about the process. If he keeps hitting the ball hard balls will fall in
Agree that he looks much better at the plate this year but statistics don’t lie…
Exactly
He struggles against quality pitching. Just like last year
He has gotten better this year. He wasn’t good last year in conference play. Got on base at an okay rate but wasn’t squaring pitches up that much. This year he’s squaring pitches up but not being rewarded. When some of these hard hit balls fall in he won’t be as criticized.
So, KJ sits at 2b with nobody out and they can’t get him in. Hamilton fans with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Eckert gives up a leadoff single, has the batter 0-2 then goes to 3-2 before giving up the RBI double to tie it. Man at 2b with nobody out.
t6 Leow comes back from 0-2 to get an RBI double, runner is the first coug to keep his footing going from 2 to 3 and scores. 1-1 now, Eckert fading.
Eckert done, 93 pitches with 62 for strikes. Heimlich in to pitch to the lefty with man on 3b and 2 out.
PH and Luke hits him
first pitch fly out to CF
Donahue with a leadoff double, Hendrix sac bunt and Morrison strikes out on 3 pitches. Closer on for the cougs and KJ to the plate.
And he strikes out on 4 pitches. Hitting has been garbage today
KJ sees 4 straight sliders and strikes out.
Heimlich gives up a leadoff single but fields the sac bunt attempt and gets the lead runner. Next batter hits one back to Luke who starts the DP.
Another first pitch hack for Clark and hits it to the warning track in right center.
Clark leads off the 7th with another shot to the warning track.
I realize the Beavs are young, but don’t the Cougs look old?,,,as in mature for college guys?
Angry. Beav grapplers finished 30th. Just missed the natty LOL.
My bad, the closer for WSU just enters the game to start b8. Quickly disposes of the bottom of the order and we’re off to the 9th, 1-1.
With Hendrix at 2b and one out, KJ is IBB
Huge opportunity for Clark
pops out to short
Big offensive fail. Get the leadoff runner on in b9 and we’re on to extras
Another good inning by Heimlich. 4.1 IP and only allowed 1 hit and has 3 Ks.
Beaver offense only has 6 hits through 9. Now through 10.
Heimlich over 50 pitches, strikes out the first two batters and gives up a two out single. And fans the side.
did Morrison hit that one out?
And there wasn’t any doubts, deep to right center But then maybe not, didn’t see the replay and my eyes aren’t so good any more.
I was at the game. Morrison’s walk-off double did not leave the park — it landed just short of the wall in right center.
Morrison with the walkoff dinger, 3-1 Beavs… Donahue was at 3b with one out
Did he hit it off that closer throwing absolute gas?
Pac-12 network said 2-1 was the final which is why I’m confused. Morrison was mobbed at 3rd base and never crossed home plate
The official site says 2-1 final and a double for Morrison
The OSU site said the ball hit the warning track, so I guess no home run.
Beavs get into D1 Baseball’s T25 at 24. Cal makes an appearance at 23 and quacks drop to 25. 6 P12 teams in the T25.

Baseball America keeps Oregon in their top 25 and Beavs are still on the outside looking in.

and perfect game has Beavs clear up at 11

What a joke. How many times does Oregon have to lose?
