I’m in a hotel with a nice 78” tv (lol) so I wanted to use YouTube. Those links don’t stream on yt. I know people post private links of these games but I don’t know how to find them. There was a guy last year who would post them here.
The zona Washington game goes into overtime into our game. The Beavs end up winning 28-24 after they allow to take over women’s rowing on 1 of the pac12 alternates.
He actually knows how to read zone blocking and find a lane. Fenwick runs hard but doesn’t have much to him he needs to be ready for guys to cut his legs and jump or something. We say he goes down easy but he’s getting upended and needs to adjust.
Thats a story as old as time. I remember an article about it in the barometer when I was in school. It takes educated fans to teach others to get loud when needed and quiet when not
Deshaun Fenwick’s family and this coaching are the only ones who think he’s good. Every single time Jam Griffin isn’t getting a carry when they run between the tackles, the defense is celebrating. It’s mind blowing the coaching staff can’t see how bad his vision is and he runs like he’s looking for someone to tackle him
Bad fumble by Velling but he’s doing vert well for a freshman. I think he was a 4 star out of high school. He had bad false starts his first game and hasnt happened since and I bet it will be the same with the fumble.
This camera work is really fuckin pissing me off. They show a replay of the wrong guy. Wtf? On the int couldn’t even follow the ball? There’s been like 2 other plays as well most of them big plays or controversial ones.
Obviously the first downs are coming too easy running. May as well abandon it for some poor passes then punt.
Lindgren is fools gold and predictable that he gets a touchdown with run game, next time in the red zone he tries to pass.
Started that drive with runs then went to the passing and sure enough punting.
WSU is probably laughing when Beavs set up to pass instead of inside runs.
Shouldn’t there have been a 10 second runoff on that holding call by WSU at the end of the half or is that not a rule any more? I realize that it doesn’t impact anything as WSU didn’t score but it’s a bad miss by the refs.
We should be up by another score or two. Our lack of proper play call in particular downs on offense has left the Cougs in this. Defense is doing their job. This is becoming a repeated problem game after game.
They *think* they should have but they’d clearly be wrong. Beavs out skilled them. Luck is if it bounces off the refs head or something rare. It’s not low probability, high skill plays that are executed.
I shouldn’t say there’s no such thing as luck, but actual luck is extremely rare.
Haha. We say that for fun but it’s the byproduct of being bad.
Luck is not a thing at all in the deterministic sense. But it appears to be a thing due to our lack of variables.
I’d say colloquially things like the way a ball bounces on a fumble, ball hitting off a ref, etc could be viewed as luck. But deterministically or objectively there’s no luck.
Do people comment on defenses getting tired just because it’s more noticeable than the offense getting tired? The energy spent should be the same for both, unless there’s something I’m missing.
I’m excited for the Julian, Cooper Jr and Skylar Thomas secondary next year. I think Austin def needs to come back but doubt he will. He seems to be the weak link and could use an extra year but having his experience for next season would be nice. Not sure who would play the other corner spot opposite Thomas if Austin tries to go pro.
In thinking more about this I think you were right. A FG or a first down ends the game. The calculus is Jack for one yard a more likely than Sappington from 35 yards. Jack for one yard is probably 85%. Sappington from 35 is probably 75%.
I was thinking that second quarter, but I think this defense is great to watch, the secondary in particular. Throw in some nice runs, and Gulbranson developing against what has statistically been a good WSU defense, the end of the 8 game losing streak, I enjoyed watching it. And, they finally started getting sacks.
There was one play where Ward had like 15 seconds, and still couldn’t find an open receiver. Amazing. He finishes with probably less than 55% completion percentage…Caleb Williams was held to 44%…the D is worth watching.
If OSU had beaten USC, they’d likely be a top 15 team, even if wins over Fresno and Stanford were narrow.
5-2, with 3 home games remaining. This secondary will challenge conference foes the rest of the way. I think the biggest challenge is @ UW on a Friday night.
Grant did something interesting on that pursuit which made ward start running forward from a stop and avoided the duck-and-spin stuff we saw from Cam Williams.
Defense made plays when it needed to. BG wasn’t great but 1 pick and only 1 sack so not too shabby. I’d prefer to give him the start from here on out unless he completely implodes for a 3 or 4 pick game. Lindgren calling a rather tried and true game tonight. Run the ball, opens up play action and quicker rollout. Got the TE involved again.
Beavers defense unbelievably is so good that they’d be at worst 6-1 right now and possibly 7-0 with a QB who just didn’t turn the ball over. It took an unreal meltdown for USC to squeak by the Beavs by 3 and defense got so deflated from QB performance and just packed it up against the Utes. Just need a QB to not lose games and this defense will give them a chance against anybody. Nobody saw this coming but Trent Bray is an animal.
Secondary is very good but the scheme above all is just absurdly good. USC’s offense has looked phenomenal but Bray had Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams all kinds of lost. Had no idea where blitzes were coming from and what coverage Beavs we’re playing. His disguising of the defense is something we have basically never seen from a DC at OSU. A lot of talented QBs are seeing ghosts. Just amazing it took so long for him to get his shot
Of course we should all be pleased with the D but this game was not a test. WSU offense is so predictable and they really had no playmakers available. Just a bubble screen fest.
We’d be 6-1 if the refs didn’t call the game in favor of USC. We just needed them to make that 4 down call right but gave Williams forward progress instead of calling it dead. Yes, the ref called our play dead and we weren’t given forward progress and that was a RB.
Beavs will get no love from the rankings for this win, nor should they really. They probably get some votes, but will not be in the top 25. Then they beat Colorado, still probably not top 25. If they beat UW then they would be ranked in the high 20s. Then Cal and ASU. There is a real chance the Beavs could be 9-2 heading in to the CW and still only be ranked like #20.
Yeah, they haven’t beaten anyone good so that’s a problem. Boise and WSU are 4-2 I guess but last second heroics to beat 1-4 Fresno state and Stanford. They need some dominant wins vs Colorado and cal to get some better respect.
Good game. I was at it. Impressed with DBs. Nice to have get reasonable spots… both offense and defense. Against USC, it 1 yard short on O, 1 yard ahead on D. That takes a toll over the course of a game. Plus good to get obvious holding calls go our way. Can’t imagine what it would be like to be USU or Ducks with getting the benefit of the doubt with officials. Would probably add another win or 2 to the record every year. Anyhow, good to see another win at home… btw BG sucks
It was an ok game for where he’s at. What’s great is he never looks flustered and the team has more energy with him. Smith should start Ben but on a short leash once Nolan is healthy. Basically reverse rolls from a few weeks ago.
Good win by Beavs. When does Bray get his extension?
BG is growing up and the idea should be Learn how to manage the game without losing It. He is now 2 for 2.
Lindgren play calls are still alarming at times. JS didn’t resort to any absurd gambling, which is growth.
Kickers/field goals are an adventure and may force different approach for future games.
TEs contributed for the 1st time since Fresno St, that was nice to see.
Martinez, Colletto, Grffin in that order please.
Sacks and Turnovers, check
Go Beavs, JS has a victory over every conference team and all streaks have been broken.
This streak should’ve been broken minimum two years ago, but finally these coaches got out of their own way….got a bit ugly at times, a win is a win.
Go Beavs!
I wouldn’t call this a “complete game” but this was certainly the most satisfying win of the season. All starts with the defense. This secondary is amazing. The times they have breakdowns come as a surprise this season because of how often they’ve been so solid. It was great to see a consistent pass rush tonight. 6 sacks and forced and handful of throw aways.
Much, much better game for Lindgren. He kept it simple. He smashed the run. He gave Colletto multiple attempts in goal to go situations. The RB distribution I think was the biggest sign of growth in the coaching staff. Martinez 16 attempts, Jam 9, Fenwick 7. This is how it should be. Fenwick is so clearly the third back. They made things easy on Ben with play action boots and some easy slants. Protection was not great most of the night but he hung in there and made the right choice every time other than the pretty awful INT. There was only one time we took the ill advised 1st and 10 deep shot that never works. We didn’t really throw it deep all day other than that but why would you? It’s a low % play and I felt the running and short passing game was working well enough. In short, I’m glad that they stuck with what was working and didn’t try to outsmart themselves or the opponent.
So refreshing to clean up the penalties. No false starts, no holding. When you have an inexperienced quarterback those penalties always feel like such backbreakers and staying out of those situations tonight made a big difference. The only coaching decision I questioned was kicking the field goal with 3 minutes left. In a perfect world, that’s the right call to go up 3 scores. But with our kicking situation, that was not a guaranteed make and a first down would have effectively ended the game. It didn’t really matter in the end, I suppose.
Nice to break the WSU curse. Smith has now defeated all P12 teams in his tenure. Unfortunate that conference title hopes are already out the window because the schedule breaks very nice the rest of the way. If they can win in Seattle, I don’t see why the other 3 games with Colorado, Cal, ASU shouldn’t be wins. 10 wins is obviously where we want to be but I think 9 would feel about right for where this team is at. And if I had to predict where they finish I think it will be at that 9-3 mark. It might feel like a season where we left something on the table, but playing in a bowl with a chance for a 10th win would be a successful season all things considered.
Watched the game on the dvr after I got home. Kind of a ho hum, ugly win. But I’d rather win ugly than lose.
Beavs SHOULD be bowl eligible heading into the bye week. The weather forecast for next Saturday is looking awful.
Pretty sure the PAC is out of the CFP after tonight. But that won’t stop the duck hype machine. Sorry, but no one from this conference is top 4 material.
Speaking of always overrated, how about Stanford winning in South Bend??
I passed out for the final 5 minutes. Miss anything important? Cooper scooper made another play?
So I had the beavs at 5-2 after 7 games in the preseason predictions. I had Stanford and WSU as the Lise’s rather than usc and Utah. We’re back on track.
Martinez now has a 5.9 avg and nearly 350 yards on limited carries. Smith needs to get his head out of his ass and start the guy. Best rb on the roster. I like jam, too. Both are better than fenwick.
Hitting the trail and can’t get a thread up can an admin get me? Ohio beav had a good game recap above might be worth posting. Martinez and Ben worth discussing too. Thanks!
Oregon is in the top 15 because of the whole Nike association and “elite talent” narrative. Obliterated by Georgia, then later give up 40+ to WSU. They’re all over the place and don’t have the consistency you think would characterize a top 15 team. Top 25, sure.
For some reason, the loss to Georgia doesn’t have the staying power that the win at Ohio State last year, which carried them to inflated rankings. I’m sure the argument is “well its Georgia.” So that makes 49-3 acceptable for a top 15 team? What about the Ducks elite talent? What about their former-NC defensive-coordinator-head coach?
It felt like the USC game without the turnovers and thus a victory instead of a frustrating defeat. The Beav’s secondary is impressive. When does one see the type of one on one wins that Rezjohn comes up with in the college game? Oladapo is a beast. Smith had an interesting decision by going for the FG instead of having Colleto run for the first down. As it happened, I was shouting run Jack and ice the game, but a made FG does the same thing. It’s too bad the kickers continue to choke. 35 yarder decent angle should be a gimme until it’s not. I’m a little surprised JS didn’t run the ball there. I’m thinking he might if the scenario comes up again.
““We couldn’t get much going offensively. That’s a credit to what they were doing and how physical they were,” Dickert said, “You give up 200 rushing yards, you’re not going to win many games.”
Beavers rushers churned through tackles and wore down WSU’s defense. OSU logged 203 net yards on 47 carries. Freshman quarterback Ben Gulbranson, making his second career start, threw just eight passes in the second half. He finished 12 of 24 for 141 yards with a TD and one interception.
“We didn’t stop the run, so why would they have passed the ball?” WSU edge rusher Ron Stone Jr. said.”
Go Beavs
Fingers crossed for some “Coug It!” to help us out….Go Beavs!!!
Shit, they have to play Stanford again?
Not satisfied with their performance last week, gonna try again.
Good catch, fixed now.
Buffs finally get a W
Colorado improving preparing for their game against Beavs.
Not really. It was 7-3 entering the 4th quarter. Reality is, it’s two awful teams and one of them had to win.
Beavs will beat both of those teams
Anyone have one of those private yt links were people stream games? Or does anyone know how to search for those?
Sportsurge dot net
Simply the best for any sport.
I’m in a hotel with a nice 78” tv (lol) so I wanted to use YouTube. Those links don’t stream on yt. I know people post private links of these games but I don’t know how to find them. There was a guy last year who would post them here.
Is it a smart tv? Does it or can you get an Internet app? Then u could use the 1 he’s talking about on the tv.
Down goes Bama. Tennessee kicks a dying quail FG as time expires
Glad to see Saban pout!
Could this be the year the Cougs finally Coug It against the Beavs?!?!?
Come on!!!
The zona Washington game goes into overtime into our game. The Beavs end up winning 28-24 after they allow to take over women’s rowing on 1 of the pac12 alternates.
Fenwick missed a huge cutback. Mightve went for 6. Bolden with a great kickoff return.
Jam just looks different out there. Not sure why Fenwick keeps getting the start.
He actually knows how to read zone blocking and find a lane. Fenwick runs hard but doesn’t have much to him he needs to be ready for guys to cut his legs and jump or something. We say he goes down easy but he’s getting upended and needs to adjust.
Sweet! Real Benny logo on the field.
Nice drive
Nice first drives on offense and defense
Ben looking comfortable.
Dummies in front of us standing and yelling when we’re on offense…some beav fans not the brightest
Thats a story as old as time. I remember an article about it in the barometer when I was in school. It takes educated fans to teach others to get loud when needed and quiet when not
Reverse psy
I think that’s Oladapo’s 3rd sack to lead the team. Talk about needing to be creative to get pressure.
Deshaun Fenwick’s family and this coaching are the only ones who think he’s good. Every single time Jam Griffin isn’t getting a carry when they run between the tackles, the defense is celebrating. It’s mind blowing the coaching staff can’t see how bad his vision is and he runs like he’s looking for someone to tackle him
These fumbles! Two hands on the ball!
Actually thought it was great play calling in that first quarter
Plus great execution.
Bad fumble by Velling but he’s doing vert well for a freshman. I think he was a 4 star out of high school. He had bad false starts his first game and hasnt happened since and I bet it will be the same with the fumble.
Helmets look sick!
I agree but not a fan of the all orange uniform
They’re much better than the nutria
Play calling good. Ball security bad. Can’t get lucky all game.
A Sapp…….automatic! 10-0 good guys
BG has had at least 3 throws that were short. Hope he settles in.
Another red sone attempt that results in 3. Can’t count on D to hold them to 1 yard all game.
They need to break the news to Nolan he’s officially been replaced. Stop stringing him along.
Nice call!
Call a TO. Slow them down.
Bend but don’t break
Keep running and keep the WSU D on the field.
Lindgren is 1st down pass addicted. We are running well. Why not run on first down?
This camera work is really fuckin pissing me off. They show a replay of the wrong guy. Wtf? On the int couldn’t even follow the ball? There’s been like 2 other plays as well most of them big plays or controversial ones.
This game is tilting because of poor execution.
Dam, our secondary not looking great outside of Wright
Nice audible Gulbranson u jackass!
Lindgren is shit!
21-14 run plays that’s. More run than pass. Smh
It is when he runs it… 3rd and 5.
And he is 3rd and 5 because he threw on first down
Run the damn ball. 5 yds on 1st down then throw incomplete. Then get stuffed on 3rd. Just run every play and see what happens
Coug’s D would never catch on.
They know that after a 1st down run the beavs are throwing.
Wait for it, lindgren is setting up 21 run plays in a row.
I like to see more throws than runs on 1st down, personally.
Gulbranson missing receivers out there.
Ben Gulbranson is spool good! He took that sack like Luton. Pretty embarrassing
Beavers seek to lack closing speed on sack opportunities.
*seem
Reminiscent of v. USC.
We live & die by blitz bc we don’t pressure consistently w/ 4-5.
This game would look different if our base displayed the pressure they did in 4th quarter.
Smith should have run out the clock. No need to be a hero with a young QB
Well he’s better than Nolan so when you have a guy like that you have to give him a chance.
Yeah but still
That was totally stupid by JS
Only allowed three points. Solid. Let’s go Beavs!
Shouldn’t there have been a 10 second runoff on that holding call by WSU at the end of the half or is that not a rule any more? I realize that it doesn’t impact anything as WSU didn’t score but it’s a bad miss by the refs.
#28 = playmaker.
Mariners lose 1-0 in 18 innings lol.
At the game. Play calling got stale in the 2nd. Defense is looking decent. Need to catch the coug qb, we’ve had plenty of chances.
Yell louder!
I am. Along with an interpretive dance to the Pixar tribute halftime show.
BTW no penalties in the first half by our bevos.
“Pixar tribute halftime show.”
WTF?
It was fabulous.
Tree tops ND 16-14………..tip one back for Hank!
Will BG calm down this half?
Will the Beavs run effectively and in timely situations ?
I wouldn’t count on either.
May need the D to get two TOs.
He was calm 1st quarter and then spiralled. That interception was just terrible and killed our momentum followed up by a stop in the red zone.
We should be up by another score or two. Our lack of proper play call in particular downs on offense has left the Cougs in this. Defense is doing their job. This is becoming a repeated problem game after game.
The banged up Coug offense is completely listless. Doubt they score a touchdown.
Nice to see the new stadium project get airtime….wow, that screen!
Beavs running!
There’s 2 runs on 2nd down.
Gambler territory!!! Can he fight the itch?!?!?
If I had been taking a drink every time Lindgren called a throw on first down I’d be passed out by now.
Do the beavs have a draw in the playbook? Perfect call for some of these 3rd and mid range but they never call it.
Would love to see Jam on the draw…
Used to use Lowe effectively with draws.
What was total yardage for OSU in 2nd qtr?
Loved seeing Gould jaw at the DB…
And seeing the Beavers DBs jaw at WSU receivers…
Scary throw but we will take it.
TD pass to Gould………better to be lucky than to run a flawless play?
EDIT: luck PLUS great effort by Gould
No such thing as luck. That was a low probability/high skill play.
Tell that to the Coug DB’s, they know they shoud have prevented a completion with their numbers in the area.
They *think* they should have but they’d clearly be wrong. Beavs out skilled them. Luck is if it bounces off the refs head or something rare. It’s not low probability, high skill plays that are executed.
I shouldn’t say there’s no such thing as luck, but actual luck is extremely rare.
Unfortunately, Luck O da Beav’s is quite common…
That’s what all unlucky folks think…
Team has so much more life with Ben.
Or at home but keep letting your cognitive bias lead you.
Not getting that stop on 3rd and long just opened up that drive for them.
Dang they just scored. Now Lindgren goes all Madden.
I forgot were playing madden so……
Nice tackling on the TD
Fuckin embarassing.
Looked like they were trying to strip the ball? Or just arm tackling?
3rd down efficiency is actually pretty good by the beavs d but feels like it’s much worse.
Again terrible camera work.
Jam would’ve scored. Clearly the better back!
Jam and Damien. Great 1, 2 punch
Lucky cut by Damien to break it for 50.
LOL, just jokin”
Deshaun wouldn’t be De’nied a first!
Then: Martinez!
This is a must 7 for the Beavs. Defense will probably be tired in 4th quarter.
Yup, need 7; but tired?……..TOP favors Beavs by about 10 minutes,
Yes all defenses are tired 4th quarter
Said in pre season Martinez is the best back.
And he clearly isn’t.
I get it. You want to have an orgy with chance and jam. But thankfully your perversions are losing.
Cream rises to the top. And time is the great equalizer. It’s happening.
Wow how easily you take it to childish insults angry. Keep it classy angry.
Everyone sees it but you!
Time for Lindgren to start passing on every down because we need to kill the clock lol
I think we’re set up for 4 Hail Marys.
Good job D!
TO for Cooper Scooper…………no luck involved, he know the receiver couldn’t make the play.
Run run run. No time to get cute.
Do people comment on defenses getting tired just because it’s more noticeable than the offense getting tired? The energy spent should be the same for both, unless there’s something I’m missing.
Big difference between the O knowing where the play is going and the D having to react.
Not close especially on the line.
I also hate that played out RB “he gets stronger as the game goes on” bullshit.
No he fucking doesn’t. He gets tired just like everyone else.
And yes they will be putting 8 in the box. Still run plz!
Draw?
Tunnel screen?
Damnit Ben !
That screen would have been an easy first down.
Yep
I’m excited for the Julian, Cooper Jr and Skylar Thomas secondary next year. I think Austin def needs to come back but doubt he will. He seems to be the weak link and could use an extra year but having his experience for next season would be nice. Not sure who would play the other corner spot opposite Thomas if Austin tries to go pro.
Is Oladapo returning? He, Julian, and Cooper would be amazing.
Def. should hold onto Coach Adams; the classes he has been recruiting have been steady despite not having a dominant front.
Were at 23 to 35 passes to runs btw.
Ward under 50%, Bray calling a good game, DBs delivering.
OSU cannot close on sacks…
McCarten another good performance.
Eh. On all performances by him this year. His sack is only because of Rawls pressure to force him outside.
USC loses!
Why doesn’t Kennedy point out PAC plays more conference games?!?
F USC!
Goddamn this is a good secondary…
Should we go?
Yes. Hammer time.
In thinking more about this I think you were right. A FG or a first down ends the game. The calculus is Jack for one yard a more likely than Sappington from 35 yards. Jack for one yard is probably 85%. Sappington from 35 is probably 75%.
Kick the FG right?
One of the few times I believe we should have gone for it.
The consensus in the stands is that Smith should have gone for it on 4th. What a concept! Ironic since “4th Down Smith” was invented vs. the Cougs.
This has been a very bad and boring game
I was thinking that second quarter, but I think this defense is great to watch, the secondary in particular. Throw in some nice runs, and Gulbranson developing against what has statistically been a good WSU defense, the end of the 8 game losing streak, I enjoyed watching it. 5-2, with 3 home games remaining. This secondary will challenge conference foes the rest of the way. I think the biggest challenge is @ UW on a Friday night.
Something’s wrong with you.
Defense wins us another. Bray for President!
Thank god the Pac 12 sucks lol
The streak ends
We should have stormed the field.
Tear the goalposts down and toss em to the river.
Grant should give tackling lessons to the D line.
How many missed sacks???
Except he’s missed sooo many himself. IDK if. Thats the guy I want teaching that class. Oladapo 100!
Oladapo Is such a great player and has basically completely made up for the Julian loss. Love Oladapo.
His name called out frequently during recent broadcasts.
He made a sure picture perfect tackle on his sack of Ward.
Grant did something interesting on that pursuit which made ward start running forward from a stop and avoided the duck-and-spin stuff we saw from Cam Williams.
*Caleb
Looking at the upcoming schedule, 10 wins is now very doable. 8 should almost be guaranteed. This conference is so so bad.
Do not jinx it!!
Oh man if they lose to Cal, Colorado or ASU they got way bigger problems than my jinxes
Only 2 penalties, nice to see.
Yeah, I said Velling and Overman needed to step up, and they did. I don’t think either dropped a pass. They kept things moving when needed.
No shit cuz Overman never had a target and velling is a future pro.
1 catch for 11 yds. I think that includes a target.
Beavers defense unbelievably is so good that they’d be at worst 6-1 right now and possibly 7-0 with a QB who just didn’t turn the ball over. Just need a QB to not lose games and this defense will give them a chance against anybody. Nobody saw this coming but Trent Bray is an animal.
If they could have landed a few big, fast lineman…they’d probably be undefeated. Man, that secondary sets the front up for success.
Phil Steele had a rough night, did predict beavs win though
Good game. I was at it. Impressed with DBs. Nice to have get reasonable spots… both offense and defense. Against USC, it 1 yard short on O, 1 yard ahead on D. That takes a toll over the course of a game. Plus good to get obvious holding calls go our way. Anyhow, good to see another win at home… btw BG sucks
BG did not have a good game. This was a disappointing performance against a secondary where our receivers had an advantage.
Smith should start him next week, but he needs to have the best performance of the season. If not Nolan deserves the start in Seattle.
It was an ok game for where he’s at. What’s great is he never looks flustered and the team has more energy with him. Smith should start Ben but on a short leash once Nolan is healthy. Basically reverse rolls from a few weeks ago.
Gulbranson needs to play period. Even with Nolan healthy, I don’t think Chance should see the field again barring injury.
Bowl eligibility next up
This streak should’ve been broken minimum two years ago, but finally these coaches got out of their own way….got a bit ugly at times, a win is a win.
Go Beavs!
Bingo, jock itch.
Now the tough conversation with Nolan…
Good recap.
That was awesome!
UCLA is 6-0 and already beat Utah. They are very much in contention
And still have to play UO and USC. Pretty unlikely they run the table.
I stand by my statement that no one in this conference is top 4 material.
A one loss PAC-12 team will be in CFP contention
I passed out for the final 5 minutes. Miss anything important? Cooper scooper made another play?
So I had the beavs at 5-2 after 7 games in the preseason predictions. I had Stanford and WSU as the Lise’s rather than usc and Utah. We’re back on track.
Martinez now has a 5.9 avg and nearly 350 yards on limited carries. Smith needs to get his head out of his ass and start the guy. Best rb on the roster. I like jam, too. Both are better than fenwick.
Big time play maker in Martinez — keep feeding him the rock!
He led the team in carries, so they’re recognizing what he brings to the table.
He also has the lowest pass blocking rating on PFF, so they probably see him as a liability there at this point.
They definitely need to design the running attack around these two players’ strengths.
Hitting the trail and can’t get a thread up can an admin get me? Ohio beav had a good game recap above might be worth posting. Martinez and Ben worth discussing too. Thanks!
Who in the hell downvotes this comment?
Maybe a troll who downvotes everything?

Even though I was off because of the bye week, called it.
Barf.

Its always better to lose big early than late.
Hole looks better each week. Had it marked as a W early season but I have doubts now
It felt like the USC game without the turnovers and thus a victory instead of a frustrating defeat.
Agreed. I thought Colletto for a yard was the higher percentage play.
Was this the same WSU team that took Oregon to the wire or were they missing some starters?
Wazzu was missing their best RB and best WR, but then the Beavs were missing their best TE and best 3rd down back.
Ahem, and starting QB.
Not sure that was a disadvantge!
From Spokane media:
““We couldn’t get much going offensively. That’s a credit to what they were doing and how physical they were,” Dickert said, “You give up 200 rushing yards, you’re not going to win many games.”
Beavers rushers churned through tackles and wore down WSU’s defense. OSU logged 203 net yards on 47 carries. Freshman quarterback Ben Gulbranson, making his second career start, threw just eight passes in the second half. He finished 12 of 24 for 141 yards with a TD and one interception.
“We didn’t stop the run, so why would they have passed the ball?” WSU edge rusher Ron Stone Jr. said.”
Hope Lindgren remembers Stone’s question!

New thread up, and a new chance to be first
Briefly:
Pass protection this game didn’t look great; too much pressure allowed on our quarter back.
Defense did fine, would’ve liked to see pressure from front in 4th quarter throughout entire game. Better tackling next game.
Harrison is jekyll and Hyde. Amazing 1 game, then a liability the next.
