I view tonight’s game as a must win in order for the beavers to keep their national seed hopes alive. I’m hoping that mitch views it the same way and starts Wyatt Queen on the mound. I also hope that the beavers play some small ball as needed but just beat the duckies.

Just saw the video of Webby’s face plant last night vs the blazers and I have to think he’s done for the series. It was like watching Tyson land a right hook to the face of an opponent….I hope he’s okay though…
It didn’t look like he was just flopping for a foul call after he was on the floor. I’d say the camera work pretty much shows he was out for a moment or two. Odd how no one really realized how hard he hit the floor chin/cheek first.
He wasn’t steady at all when he first rolled over and spoke to his teammates.
He is graceful for 7’ 3” but that was a pretty frightening fall. Hope he is ok.
Agreed. Without him in the lineup, the blazers have a shot, but you hate to see something like that happen. First and foremost is his health bc you know he has a concussion to what extent we don’t know but it looked very bad.
I just read that it has been confirmed Wemby has a concussion and will have to remain inactive for the next 48 hours and clear a series of benchmark protocols before he can be cleared to play. At a minimum, it sounds like he will miss Friday night game.
I still stand by the call that Wemby is too thin and fragile to be a long term superstar in the NBA, he’s a very athletic version of Shawn Bradley… which still makes him Shawn Bradly.

Looks like Trey Morris will start for Beavs, with Inge back at ss again.
My prediction/guess: nike defensive slop will be a factor.
And, nike avg runs/game is 7.9, Beavs avg 6.7……..I think nike is less likely to score it’s avg than are the Beavs. No prediction, really, just an observation. Thoughts?

Beavers for jobbed on a horrible call tagout on a stolen base and it was clear on replay he was out but called safe. Queen loads the bases with two outs and an extra infield choo single 1-1, 2 outs still t6 and Zach Edwards gets the call in relief. Horrible umpiring crew tin ght behind the plate and in the field. Beavs should still be up 1-0 but …

B6 as the Beavs combined with a very bad call at a tagout on a steal combined with 4 walks in the inning and an error, 3-1’and the bats are silent again. There goes a shot at a national seed and maybe even a regional host unless the Beavs have a late inning comeback.
Losing to these guys at home is embarrassing and inexcusable. I hope this team rallies and figures it out!

The fans are embarrassing whiney bitches, booing almost every pitch. The umpiring had nothing to do with tonight’s outcome.
Actually the bad call at 2nd base was costly and really changed the momentum of the game, but it was a lack of mental toughness that cost the beavers. The balls and strikes were bad on both sides but when you can’t pitch, field or hit,you can’t win..
Surprisingly, the Beavs RPI is #11 so…..
