  1. Nate Yeskie will become a paid assistant and take over the role of Recruiting Coordinator and Andy Jenkins will be promoted to be the new Volunteer Assistant.

  2. OT. I just got a Neat email. News from the AD. Apparently Bob De Careless believes last year was one of the most succesful years at osu. Not motivating any big donation from me. We need a new AD so so so so badly. All problems & corrections will start and finish there.

    • Did he mention the lost-and-found upgrade? I’m very interested in that.

The recent BDC quote re: the bb practice facility ( kudos to the architects/designers btw) noting that CR had been pushing for it almost upon arrival at OSU and that – I’m not looking at the reference so this is only general – CR had been like a teenager in his wheedling. How embarrassing! It sounded as though a practice facility had never occurred to BDC which is not surprising. He could have at least pretended it was on his list all along. However, the buck stops and starts with Ed Ray and until he cleans house OSU athletic is stuck with cobwebs.

  3. If PC was like MR the candidate would come from his high school team or be an old retired MLB player. Who needs young creative talent when you can take care of your home boys? JB

PS: BDC will be “out of the office” until this decision is rendered. Remember Major Major from Catch 22?

  4. Boob De Care Less has always had his head up his arse. I’m with numbers, this guys got to go along with Mike “nice guy” riley.

  5. beaverbytes just posted Pak12 recruit roundoup. OSU was the lowest in verbal commitments with a lonely 1 with Arizona State runner up with 4 verbal commits. How embarrassing.

    • He was a possible successor to Pat Casey, but I never believed he would be head coach and I don’t think Pat will step down for at least 4-5 years. Marty Lees wanted a head coaching job within the next couple years and that just wasn’t gonna happen at OSU unless he was willing to wait 5+ years. I think he believes this job will help him get one much sooner. Also, he’s probably going to be making more money. Can’t blame him for taking a new job.

  6. to be fair, brosius has a pretty good deal at linfield. it’s close to where he grew up (milwaukie, oregon) and it’s where he played his college ball. i’m not saying he’ll never take another job, but i’d be pretty surprised if he left for something other than a head coaching job or a job in the professional ranks. he’s certainly qualified to be more than an assistant, even if it’s for a pac 12 team. it’s probably more likely that he’s a guy they look at to replace casey when the time comes and he’s still at linfield.

  7. OT…
Can anyone out there tell me why this kid isn’t getting high interest? It’s not like nobody has seen him play. Zach Kline was his QB last year, and Cameron Birse will be the QB this year. So you know BCS schools are watching his team play. The only thing I can think of is that he takes every play you don’t see on this tape off. But it certainly doesn’t look that way from the motor on display.

  8. I would love to see Scott Brosius join the OSU staff or be the next head coach here as I have been high on the guy for a long time. He obviously has done a good job at Linfield and came from a MLB team that has had tons of success . He knows what it takes to get to the big leagues and was pretty successful himself. Hope it could happen, but with this current administration, highly doubt it. Just hope Pat can hang on for a while longer and out-last DeCarolis.
