Are they going to be streaming, on the main site, Parker talking to the coaches and going over film like last year? I hope so, because I like to do my yearly film rankings and don’t want to have to hudl/youtube 25 guys. I’d rather watch the show and jot down my thoughts on the clips.
How the fuck would I know? My contact with the athletic dept hasn’t been involved and been gone over 5 years. I was just posting a link. You know as much as I do.
Allen, Taylor, and Tyler are very nice additions to the offense. I think they may have become under-appreciated by some because of the infatuation with the likes of Calvin.
Green would have been great with his speed, but Tyler is a very good addition. His one-or-two cut moves followed by a 50+ yard TD run are the kind of things an OLineman has to like. No, he won’t get long runs all the time in DI, but lineman will still appreciate him as will the fans I think.
Also like Jack’s suggestion that maybe Morris move to RB to provide depth.
I think Morris is good enough to challenge Pierce but lose out to him because Pierce knows the system. Morris’ patience and vision are just outstanding. And his speed, balance and feet are deceiving.
Calvin is a change of pace back who can eat space quickly. I can’t get a read on him because he just runs from one open space to another as if the seas open for him. I’m always afraid these highlight tapes transfer to Damian Haskins-like skills at this level. But maybe his feel for running to the open space is real. But that’s a trait that few players have. And it’s rare that someone with speed also has it.
I can’t get enough of Allen. He can be a great receiver or back or both.
I like signing a few of them. If they work out and get bigger and stronger on their mission it is a bonus. If they get fat and soft you just pull the offer in 2 years.
Lutu-Clarke is the most polished T of the group. He’s balanced and moves well laterally. And he has good technique. Optimally, he will redshirt. But he is possibly the best short term option we have for starting in the fall if he’s conditioned. I’m not sure where they get the two stars on him. He was arguably the best lineman in Hawai’i last season.
And Woods says he’s going to be an interior lineman. He looks to me like the best lateral blocker coming in. Mackay has a better drop step and punch. But Lutu-Clarke can maintain leverage without holding while moving sideways.
He also has Cordasco as a T. I see him as more of a drive or pull blocking G and good in pass pro if he’s blocking interior lanes.
BTW Moore to the Ducks still chaps me. Brand new unproven coaching staff that already has two significant black eyes. They offer 3 days before the deadline and leapfrog dozens of P5 offers?
That irks me more than Green to the Utes. That at least made sense. Our RB depth chart is stacked. Utah probably a logical fit for him. Moore though passed up an almost guaranteed day 1 starting gig.
My guess is Salavea knew Moore well from when he was a WSU commit, and after moving to Oregon they probably renewed talks. Salavea was a good hire, unfortunately
There’s not much value I can add on signing day since every piece of media is saturated with this stuff, so I add gifs. Turns out highschool kids don’t really even know Chappelle’s Show.
I have a couple of gifs left I’m hoping to use in case of a flip, or bad news for another team. Crossing fingers
See that Morris on with Canzano at 1 pm, that’s pretty good exposure for OSU as in-state radio audience will hear from a pretty highly sought in-state recruit that chose OSU.
I’ll find out from his mom later. Would be awesome news if they did, but I just don’t think that was in the plans. He definitely want to earn a schollie spot though. Out of state tuition is crazy high.
No kidding. I was going to watch some but didn’t want to get that stupid app and sign in and all that. With all the tech available these days, why broadcast on Facebook?!
If he turns out to be a LB of Bubba’s quality, I’ll take him. I think he takes angles like Afalava. But I can easily see that ability transfer inside so he doesn’t have to run so far downhill to make plays.
One attribute I’ve picked up on during the interviews with the coaching staff is that many of them carry the same… feeling? Presence? Similar to Coach Andersen when he has been interviewed.
Not all may necessarily have a personality that is outgoing that engages the camera well? They may not necessarily fill air space with a lot of words, but when they do speak, they come across as being rather straight-forward? They don’t mince words?
For me, I find this appealing; I think this factors into decisions some of these recruits make.
Overall looks like a pretty good class got recruited. It just has a better feel to it than a Riley class for sure. Sounds like we may be ranked in the 40’s for recruiting class in the nation. Does anyone how many teams they put into the rankings? 40th out of ____ teams.
Pretty average class, don’t understand all the excitement. Couldn’t close on any big names down the stretch. Sad. No worries though, baseball is whats most important at OSU anyways.
First?
Quantino Allen….
Go beavs!
Signing day central. Plenty of links in there to stuff that will be going on live starting at 8am

agreed

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
I was answering your question. I ate a snickers, and an asshole is still what you get
You ate a snickers and an asshole?
In that order?
Great… now I’m going to have a visual of Bill Murray in a hazmat suit all day.
LMFAO nicebeaver. Yep, totally got me. Punctuation can be a bitch sometimes. Well played. And 100% spot on.
Any surprises rumored?
yes.
Kuli?
Allen, Baylor, Tyler all in
That’s what she said.

Lockette has Baylor at 6′, 190#. Everything I saw had him at 5’10” and between 170 and 180#.
That size difference would alter my perception of him quite a bit.
Gardner in
Morris in
Bowcut in
I hate signing mission kids. Seems like a waste of time and energy. A lot can transpire in two years.
I like signing a few of them. If they work out and get bigger and stronger on their mission it is a bonus. If they get fat and soft you just pull the offer in 2 years.
They usually get smaller and out of shape. Then you have to recruit them a second time.
Or if they get bigger and stronger they get a BYU offer. And we all know how that turns out.
^^^^exactly
I guess I don’t really see the downside. Now the coaches have an extra spot they can fill should a guy that slipped through the cracks pop up.
A lot of LOI rolling in now.
Onesimus Lutu-Clarke has a decent offer sheet for a 2 star. Byu, Nevada, Hawaii, Boise State. Not bad. Good size. I haven’t watched him yet.
Lutu-Clarke is the most polished T of the group. He’s balanced and moves well laterally. And he has good technique. Optimally, he will redshirt. Sykes a Beaver? I thought I read last night he’s a NQ and wouldn’t be signing.
Any recruit can sign a loi. Only ones who can’t are ones who didn’t go through the NCAA Clearinghouse
Dunn and flemmings in.
Wellsfry in
Seeing positive signs for Falaniko. Hope its not fools gold
What position does he play?
Versatile. Safety or maybe LB
Cool. Those hybrid types are extremely valuable against spread offenses.
Thanks for all the work and info. You da man!
Go Beavs.
I would think LB for us.
If we get him.
What are you seeing?
Rachel jennings(samoan recruiting expert) tweeted an edit of him and osu.
Then, his girlfriend retweeted my memo to fans about flips.
Oh yeah, and the official beaver page accidentally linked his hugjlights briefly.
That would be a huge get and the cap we’re looking for on the class.
Ducks late add at Safety might have Falaniko narrowing down opportunities.
A USC flip would be huge
Who is the Ducks’ late add at S?
BTW Moore to the Ducks still chaps me. Brand new unproven coaching staff that already has two significant black eyes. They offer 3 days before the deadline and leapfrog dozens of P5 offers?

Billy Gibson
My guess is Salavea knew Moore well from when he was a WSU commit, and after moving to Oregon they probably renewed talks. Salavea was a good hire, unfortunately
That’s Moore’s problem. He made a bad decision and will have to live with it.
Let Moore go. There’s a reason he was a Juco O-lineman.
Greg Biggins seems to think Falaniki is still leaning towards USC.
https://twitter.com/GregBiggins/status/826804679203909632
His GF (wife?) did say they found their new home when on the OSU visit.
His dream probably = Playing at USC. She and fam probably pushing OSU. #decisions
I love all the Chappelle Show vids. Favorite show ever
The skit where he knocks over the water and runs away is legendary
There’s not much value I can add on signing day since every piece of media is saturated with this stuff, so I add gifs. Turns out highschool kids don’t really even know Chappelle’s Show.

Video coverage is on FB live, btw:

Hole flipped Shear. Not a surprise.
Who?
Cody shear….oline from sheldon
Nice athlete… sure does hold a lot.
http://www.hudl.com/profile/4367592/cody-shear
He would have been perfect in Chips scheme then
Anyone think we will land a surprise player today?
See that Morris on with Canzano at 1 pm, that’s pretty good exposure for OSU as in-state radio audience will hear from a pretty highly sought in-state recruit that chose OSU.
Flemings listed at 5’6″ and 150 pounds, which means he’s like 140 and likely an inch shorter.
I wonder how tall his parents are. Maybe he just hasn’t hit his growth spurt yet…
Is Bush a walk-on? I saw OSU announced him as a signee
Yes, PWO. They usually announce their PWOs on signing day
Yo, they have Jalen up on the big board. Do you think they offered him Sykes Schollie?
I’ll find out from his mom later. Would be awesome news if they did, but I just don’t think that was in the plans. He definitely want to earn a schollie spot though. Out of state tuition is crazy high.

THANK YOU! I was about to rant about the recruiting info only being on that FUCKING facebook.
Maybe a little rant. Great FUCKING MOVE athletic department limiting the broadcast to that FUCKING facebook….. NOT!!!!!
No kidding. I was going to watch some but didn’t want to get that stupid app and sign in and all that. With all the tech available these days, why broadcast on Facebook?!
Kesi Ah-Hoy, 3* LB 6-1, 192 Kahuku, Hawaii Signed (Flipped from Hawaii)
According to: http://www.oregonlive.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2017/02/oregon_state_beavers_football_20.html#incart_river_index
You shall be known as Chip. Now stay away from the dairy barns.
Reminds me of David Pa’aluhi
If he turns out to be a LB of Bubba’s quality, I’ll take him. I think he takes angles like Afalava. But I can easily see that ability transfer inside so he doesn’t have to run so far downhill to make plays.
Interesting that Calvin is the only Nebraska recruit not signed.
What happened to Moku-Watson?
He didn’t have a first period study hall?
His school does a mass signing for all the athletes signing today?
He hate me?
Yup….all of the above.
The Beavers site says he’s signed.
Top story of the day:
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-national-signing-day-live-a-guy-named-kobe-buffalomeat-joins-1485969781-htmlstory.html
No, not really. Not at all.
Would it be better if his first name was Wagyu?
More just a general comment:

* know how

Aptly named handle for your Duck parody. Is this BG? You can make Duck fan look dumber than this.
Lucky we can beat the fuqs with our third sting qb!
