JaMarcus Shephard, the era begins with plenty of questions

It’s not just Shephard, new coaches/assistants aplenty and a new AD; a new era or just a continued slide?

Last thread may have been the longest here (June 9 till Sept 4) and still a struggle to get past 900 comments; will activity now increase?  Average views per visitor is running around 3.5/day, are you “average”?

Have at it AB’s, what’s on your mind?

  1. Beavers game at Houston 9:00 am pacific. That seems a bit unfortunate for the Beavers(?).

Odd to start a season without a sense of playmakers. I hope Freehauff is one…the TE group is supposed to have depth, impact this season. Hatcher @ RB?

Be really nice if the DLine can at least hold its own?

Odd to be rooting for BSU (@ UO) and Fresno (USC).

    Go Beavers!

  2. Line for tomorrows game is 21. That’s really what the Beavs are playing for. Can they beat the spread?

I’d say Vegas is being nice to them.

The thing that will tell you if the Beavs can compete is the oline and dline. If they can hold their own, might have a decent season.

  3. Do we have a decent Oline?
Do we have a stout dline?
Do we have a qb finally?
Can any wr get open and then catch the ball?
Is it possible that special teams will actually be a participant this year?

Lots of questions to be asked and I’m waiting to see how they are answered tomorrow.
Maybe the Beavs show some heart and keep it close.
    Houston 28-Beavs 10

  4. Houston has no film on our new long-snappers and won’t be able to contain them. The Beavs are going to long-snap all day long on the Cougs.
