I’m getting a bit ahead of myself, but what the heck, let’s start scouting WSU as a group. If you know anything about their team, share it here. When I searched for a season preview on these guys I couldn’t find much at all. The best preview might be from this Duck site.

I’m pretty bearish on that former Hawaii coach. Smith should have the edge there. Then again…if the Beavs find themselves in a “4th and win” situation, do they repeat their mistakes? ;)

I’m dubious we can make it to Nov 7th without things shutting down, but hopeful the people involved are leading the players in a way that gets it done.

This based on talent level and needs (e.g. mass on the DL). If the season were to start today, and this weren’t the rotation, I’d think Smith had made errors. Subject to change as more data rolls in. I don’t know the injury status of all these guys, so that could change things as we get updates on that.

Let’s use this thread to discuss the first week of Fall camp, and discuss any rumors/ideas for a DT transfer target we can land before the season.

Dylan Boles is the only one I’m hearing about. A Stanford DE, but at 290lbs he could be turned into a DT. Another option is to have an OL play DT – this has a learning curve, so does anyone here know if Smith is having any OL try to make that conversion? Finally, Whitley might play. We know he has a tumor on his heart, but we don’t know if it’s benign or not (at least to my knowledge) or anything further about it. If it’s benign, he’s probably fine to play if he wants. Tumors on organs are not rare at all. We’d need more clarification on his condition, and hopefully get it in the coming days.
