Angry Beav Fundraiser/Donations

26

The site is set to expire in about a month. Hosting fees are up big this year (no, there is no inflation, Mrs. Chairman!). My host says I might be able to sign a multi-year deal that lowers the rate and get a year added to the contract for every mediocre post I make.

Anyway, to make things fun this year, I decided this year to give back to donors, Bob DeCarolis style. So the highest donor will receive this beautiful Oregon State mug. That’s right, your own brand new Oregon State mug! If you’re lucky I will pack it in popcorn.

Click here to donate and keep AB alive! Share this link with friends and family! Put a Beaver on it!

Edit: I should add, if you send the donation as a gift to friends/family they don’t take a fee, so please do that!

    • I’d consider offers but I wasn’t actively looking to sell it anymore.

The mug is new! But maybe it’s new old stock. I don’t know much about it; got it as a gift but already have too many beav cups.

  1. OT – A look back on spring position battles:

At RB, glad to hear Ward is the frontrunner and we will likely finally see multiple backs getting reps. This is a pretty good looking position group in both talent and depth.

At CB, The Larry Scott/Dashon Hunt looks like the perennial example of OSU ignoring the instinctual, productive play of one individual over the seniority/”measurables” of another; in other words, overthinking it. Don’t over-complicate it again Riley/Banker….

I’m glad DelRio is in; he should infuse the team with some positive attitude and confidence. It’s disappointing to see how easily he seems to be moving ahead of Vanderveen, who’s been in the system longer and, finally, brought some mobility to the position. By end of fall camp I’m betting Del Rio is the clear second string and is handed the reins to the team in ’15. Good thing he left ‘Bama.

On DL, looking forward to Grimble reminding us what a legitimate DI tackle looks like. Seems like a long time since Paea…

    • I actually like Scott starting on the outside and having Hunt in the nickle. I think putting Hunt there will be best for the team.

  2. Angry, I have appreciated everything you have done. I visit this site every day and I think it’s a breath of fresh air compared to other sites. That said, you are getting ripped off. I dabble in web design for my own company and I help friends and family set up their sites once in awhile. I’m not sure how much bandwidth or storage your site really needs, but I would consider finding another web host. Look into GoDaddy or Host Gator. I have never, ever paid the amount you do.

  3. How does this website + hosting cost $350? Could you help to break down the costs?
I will second what “FlatTailBeaver” has said, I do believe you’re getting ripped off and could optimize the site better.

    • I called today to ask what is up, and it’s the multi-year plan. Makes more sense. It is actually $280. If we raise that before July then we won’t need another fundraiser for a few years.

  4. from a somewhat well-placed person at OSU “Inside scoop on Robinson was that the fans were exiting in droves…” nothing new, just reinforcement – banded together, ab et. al. can make a difference.

    • We should throw in a Craig Robinson Basketball Camp T-shirt for that $50 winning bid!

      Thanks everyone for support Angry>
