  1. This website is a freaking joke, couldn’t you guys find a hobby like model trains or something? There is nothing more depressing than reading posts from grown men who have only a slight idea about college sports, and then write stuff that have little or no meaning to the world. YOU ARE A SAD,SAD MAN ANGRY. Go find a hobby and delete this website.

  2. Beavers lead at the half on the road again tonight. Holding Cal to 40.7% shooting so far. Now, they need to come out for the second half, execute on both ends and get this win. It would be a big confidence building win.

  3. I get the feeling with this squad that just “hanging in there” and proving they “can play with opponent xyz” is good enough. Not sure why, but it’s just my feeling.

    • The team continually loses these mini swings. Sounded like Brandt missed a point blank layup and of course Cal comes back and hits a three. Goes from a chance to be tied to being down five in a matter of seconds. They don’t have a lock down defender, they don’t have an on floor leader.

    • Don’t they have too much talent to be this shitty? Doesn’t that have to be on CR? Or else maybe we aren’t being realistic on the talent level. You take away the soft non-league schedule and how is these season that much different from last year?

      • Very different. This team has had maybe one game where they were blown out. They lack a true on court leader. They need a guy who is a vocal leader and gets on the case of teammates who play poorly, they’ll actually listen to that more than a head coach who gets on them.

      • they sure look good in stretches… but fuck they don’t play defense, block out or take care of the ball. that stuff has got to be on coaching. my feeling is the talent level we have is way better than what the ducks have- why are they so much better- coaching.

        • They also have guys who are leaders on the floor and guys who had success winning last season and at other programs. Beavers don’t really have anyone on the team who’s a true on court leader and nobody on the team has had much success since coming to Oregon State. They don’t know how to win games and that shows when the players don’t step up and make plays at crucial stages of the game.

      • I’m wondering if we aren’t giving them credit for talent that perhaps they don’t really have. Maybe they are just a modest, .500 win-loss team that shows a few flashes of being good–probably like every other .500 team out there.

  4. If it makes any of you feel any better, at least your other alma mater didn’t loose to Northwestern and have their 2 million plus a year HC take NO responsibility and throw his team under the bus.

This b-ball season has really turned ugly.

  5. I didn’t pay attention to the Cal game. I assumed a loss was in the offing.

I’m now going to trudge through the post-game interviews and write-ups.

    Wish me luck.
