I read after Cal mopped the floor with Coppin State the other evening that their best player is hurt and will miss the first 2 weeks of the season. They start 4 guards and a power forward.

CR is an absolute embarrassment as a leader of the bx program. I know hs coaches that teach defense better than the matador I am watching. No development, no attention to details maybe a session with Pat Casey on little things and success would help. AD needs to do some work in restoring the confidence of fans and donors in both fb and basketball….or we will be a one sport school (baseball) and maybe 2 to 3 with wrestling and gymnastics. Go Beavs!

My wife and I went to 5 basketball games last year while dating…we got in the mail earlier in the month asking us to be season ticket holders…we just laughed and said, um nope. 1) we can’t afford it, 2 I knew we were gonna suck this year based on the head coach in charge…he’s doing just as good of a job running the basketball program(into the ground) at OSU as the president is running the country(into the ground). yup, this hire is on BDC.
I’m so embarrassed. I keep telling myself its not my fault, that I keep calling to fire DeCarolis, but its my fellow fan base that is allowing this to happen. I’m so embarrassed. Here again is a marginal cost analysis. Cost of empty basketball seats and apathetic fan base vs cost of firing BDC for not boosting CR with the assistant coaches he needs instead of the assistants he wants.

Also, I would much rather have MP than Jerry Allen and Co. where you need to wait 2 minutes after a play if it’s not a TO, TD, or a long run/pass play. Whereas Mike Parker tells you formations, where players are on the field and gives you in game stats along the way. To me, that’s more helpful than, “That’s right Jerry, you’re absolutely right. He needed to juke outside on that play and make a better fake, and he’d be gone all the way to the endzone.” No contest IMHO
