Mike Riley has “Low Expectations and Standards”

From former NE and NFL player Dominc Raiola.

See tweet here.

Nice to see him call a spade a spade. I’ve been doing it for years, but when someone does it mainstream like this it carries a lot of weight. Riley is a flat out bad coach at this point. At his best he was a mediocre coach. He’s on our staff, and about half our fanbase still views him as a great coach. Wake up, people.

  1. This wisenheimer sounds like he needs to lighten up. Break out an old Schwinn, take a stroll around the block, walk the dogs and learn to enjoy the neat deals in life.

I mean, if it wasn’t for losers there would be no winners. You ever think about that? We all have our place in this life, and what a neat deal that is.

    • Agree.
But how often do we see this in the mainstream? NE should have exposed him once and for all. I think it did, except with that faction of Beav fans who have their head in the sand and just like him because he’s “a nice guy” (yeah right) and “one of us”.

  2. I would never suggest anybody tune into John Canzano’s show, but I just happened across it while switching stations and he must be ill or something, because he sounds like he has somebody’s ballsack in his mouth while he speaking.
In addition, he was just talking about somebody “eating goat sperm”

You can’t make this stuff up….
Might be worth a listen just for lolz

  3. No in depth analysis on my part, but from keeping an eye on the Twitter feed it seems that the defensive staff aren’t having much problem finding guys that fit and selling the program to them.

Looks like Michael Johnson Jr got an offer and is visiting, I really don’t know if he’s the QB of the future but I’d still love to see him commit just to have a 4* QB to give the offensive recruiting a boost.

    • You’ re pretty correct with your observations.
Here’s an update I found on Johnson.

(Having trouble getting wordpress to take the link. Just go to the canereport mainpage and scroll down to find the story)

These guys make it sound like Miami/Penn St/FSU are the remaining schools for Johnson. They left out Oregon State though. I had a conversation tonight with someone who has talked to him since the OSU visit, and it sounds like he is also considering OSU.

He had his official visit to Penn St last weekend and visits FSU soon. Miami will get a visit too. But Oregon/Nebraska/Arizona State are 3 of his original top schools that already have QBs for 2019. NC State and LSU were in the top list too but have no QB

So, does he want to pass on several east schools for the opportunity to play close to home with immediate playing time, at OSU? Your guess is as good as mine, but apparently we have a shot.

      • Yeah it seems like kind of a long shot but it was relatively late in his recruitment and he made the effort to reach out to OSU. Could be trolling I suppose, but his dad was on the OSU staff and he’s known Simple Jack forever. The fact that he had Nebraska on his initial list says something.
