  1. I did figure out how to open an internet browser on my tv. That with my wife’s Facebook account should allow me to watch the game.

    • Moore comes from the “psycho” mold that angry was talking about. Will be interesting to see his impact. They call him “Thumper” for a reason. His extra disruption with hard hitting tackles could help force some turnovers with the smaller Hawaii offensive players, if he can catch them

      • Ya I just feel like he isn’t very good in coverage that’s where I thought hicks onu might be better but that didn’t happen. I like more though he is a hard hitter but has he ever even had a pick in all the games he played? Hawaii isn’t his best matchup but we’re better with him that’s for sure.

  2. Not sure I can listen to announcers. I can’t believe defense didn’t give up points… I mean they gave up practically every pass so far.

  3. This must be what it feels like to watch sports on the east coast. Anyone with the knowledge to record the game so we can watch a replay during normal hours?

  4. No pressure so far. I watched Nevada get pressure on oregon with the supposed best o line. What is their problem? Is it scheme talent or both? I say both when I watch physically inferior teams able to pressure physically superior ones.

  5. We have great drives with plenty of running to get the lead, and then we abandon that game plan and get pass happy and kill our own drive with dropped passes. If it ain’t broke, the Beavs will find a way to break it

  6. They are trying to stop the run. Our last 6 or 8 runs have gone for like 6 total yards. It’s not so simple as just “run the ball!”

    • U shouldn’t need an account I’m told. Other options are to watch on a reddit stream or something like that unless u live in Hawaii then it’s on cable.

    • The only reason I can think of as to why they rushed the timeout was to get different personnel on the field, but I agree it was a complete waste and gave them an extra down.

  7. Elu and Jordan Whittley combined for ZERO tackles in the first half.
Of course, Whittley says he’ll perform…….WHEN IT MATTERS…………….OK

  8. Bogus Offensive PI call.
Last couple minutes of the first half and first couple of the second so very important………Beavs not doing well, give HI momentum.

ADD: But, forcing the punt is a step in the right direction.

    • Pierce with only 7 carries and averaging 11.3 per carry.
Jefferson with 21 carries and 7.4 average.

Both really good, but maybe balance it a little more towards the guy who is fresh and also not limping?

  9. I really wanted to watch the offense this year and especially Jefferson but not sure if I can take watching this defense. To think I almost got sling just to have PAC-12 net-wortless.

  10. If we lose this game it’s Smiths second worse coaching job after the Nevada game.
Any average coach would see you’re winning the line and keep running. Very elementary stuff.

  11. Well, that’s it for me. I know how this story goes with the no-pride defence, and unless Gebbia gets a chance this will just get more stupid on offense.

I think it’s safe to say all of the defensive staff that Niner assembled was a swing and a miss.

  12. I’m stunned that Hawaii can get guys open so easily with a run route. We have one wr that can get open. It doesn’t even feel like we can scheme a second wr open (and when we do they drop it).

  13. Well if we score a TD to win it my prediction will be spot on.
I don’t see how luton leads a game winning drive but surprise me, “gunslinger “

  14. Your choices with the game on the line are luton pass or choker kick.
Do you now see why I wanted Gebbia?

Loss is on luton and the play calling. Smith too can’t have choker kicking a 52 yarder when he can’t make a 32 yarder

  15. I’m not saying Tibesar is off the hook, but the offense and Smith messed the bed on this one. How do you let HAWAII shut you out in the second half?!

  16. Gebbia gets one non-con game to warm up, then two weeks to get ready for league play. Not bad.

Too bad it wasn’t following him leading a win in this game….the perfect transition.

Smith had a chance to make some statements to his team; bench togiai, bench luton, win with Gebbia, kick Hayes off the team…on to progress.

    • Agree. Lost all faith in him tonight. Several reasons:

      1. Luton was not the best option to win the game. If the coach claims he wants to put the players in the best position to win, you can’t tell me that was Luton (at least not tonight, though I don’t think ever).

      2. Kicking with Choker from 52.

      3. Fake punt when that is so obvious, and you should either punt or go for it with an actual QB.

      4. Abandoning the run mid game and falling in love with Luton for no reason.

      5. There must be more. (Just thought of another: have Luton throw a hail mary instead of some trick play that never works. The guy’s strength is supposed to be his 60 yard bombs. Haven’t seen one ever).

  17. The Beavers played like an inexperienced team coached by an inexperienced staff.
Seriously, the starting QB can’t throw a completion, wtf makes them think the punter can throw a completion????

  18. Last week’s game made me glad I chose to go to Hawaii and spend time with friends instead of wasting my time watching the game.

This week’s game makes me glad I’m moving to China, and therefore won’t have neither the opportunity nor the temptation to follow this football program anymore.

  19. Can we please start doing some SEC scheduling?
We don’t need compelling Big 12/ Big 10 matchup now.
We need New Mexico St, PSU and San Jose St. to start a season. Put up some wins, go to a bowl, then look at maybe inviting a Kansas St to do a home and home.

  20. Dear Coach Smith,

I would have pulled Luton early in the third quarter. With our ability to run, we just need a game manager to complete a few passes, not a gunslinger. That second half starting early in the third quarter with several missed passes in a row, drive killers. Luton doesn’t have the it factor. The look in his eyes is as one despairing of what to do, not of confidence. He has no touch on the short passes. I don’t take him as a winner. Would really like to see what Gebbia can do. BTW, what the hell was that fake punt? How can you set up your team for success with a call like that? Oh, you’ve got the same problem with your kicker as your quarterback. So disappointed in this team…So disappointed in myself for putting all this energy into fandome. Much better things I should be doing with my time..

From one coach to another, it’s all about utilizing your talent in the right places… Is there a place for pierce to be on the field at the same time as Jefferson, to swing the ball to him in short passes. I would bet Gebbia could make those passes, cause I’m not confident that Luton can throw a five yard pass easy for a back to catch, ie fourth and six and Hodge has to dive to his right for the ball pulling him away from the first down….

Well good luck. I think you will be a good coach some day. But right now, you are trying too hard, taking risks when you don’t have to.

    Cr
