Ducks have no timeouts and have been gifted 2 stoppages by the refs in the last 6 seconds. Pac12 is trying to help them a bit but they are still out of fg range. Ducks may lose their last 3 games…
Unbeleivable that the Ducks didn’t play for OT but tried a 4th and 1 at the 30. HUskies immediately in fg range and kick the game winner. LOL “no natty for you, no natty for you, and no natty for you”
Cooper Jr has had a great game. Secondary should be good again next season. I think Thomas could be really good, Julian and Cooper Jr. Austin needs to come back again but for some reason the announcers always seem to indicate he could go pro.
Harrison should have 2 tds if he didn’t have the dropsies on the 1st one. BG hasn’t been great, but he’s moved around the pocket and should have 2 tds on the night.
BG has been fairly solid. 2 passing tds. 1 rushing. Should’ve had a 3rd passing if not for Harrison drop. Moved in the pocket really well. Seemed like things slowed down for him in 2nd half
That look on Wilcox face at the end of the game said it all. Like he’d just stepped off an elevator after someone ripped a nasty fart on the way down. Describes Cal football in a nutshell.
This per Steve Berkowitz of USA Today sports: “Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith picks up a 1-year contract extension as Beavers get 7th regular season win by beating Cal. This means Smith’s deal runs thru February 2029. The additional year is scheduled to be worth $4.75 million; it is guaranteed for $2.85 million.”
Oh, 7th win also means Vegas pays those who took the over on 6.5 wins for the season!
Great overall team win! The defense has really been the difference this season, holding Cal to 9 yards rushing and 156 total yards is impressive! Only 3 offensive points scored. The d*cks lost!!! I’m so relieved! How awesome would it be if they end up losing 3 games in a row?
“Best defensive performance of the season? Before writing off that it was only Cal, consider that the Bears put up 469 yards against USC last week, and 402 against Oregon the previous game. The Bears have offensive capability. The Beavers made it look like they hadn’t played football before.”
Chip Kelly with the reckless fourth down call. What is with these coaches shooting themselves in the foot. If Gould doesn’t connect on the fourth down throw from Colletto that call looks terrible and changes the momentum of the game. Smith has to coach differently and choose his spots.
Yeah at least JS put some trickery in there with the Colletto pass…went to the well one too many times w the 3 yard run. Was hoping they would’ve done that during the Washington game.
So Oregon lost to GA 49-3, and just lost to #25 UW, so now they’ll be out of the top 25, right?….
The great thing is, now that they are not the PAC CFP hopeful, the CW may be called fairly. Though with the usual PAC ineptitude….just don’t leave it up to the refs.
Damn…Beavs SO close this year…3 point loss to USC, 3 point loss to UW….
Last year I thought was the best opportunity for a special season…then this year…so, maybe the climb is happening and special seasons won’t be 10-20 years apart.
This is a special season for many reasons. Defense has been the best defense I’ve seen in a decade or more. Special Teams is starting to come into their own a bit more, especially now that Hayes appears to be healthy. We have a chance to be 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3 in the regular season. Miraculous season would be CFP, or Rose Bowl this season with us knowing the QB situation in hind sight. When was the last time we went to a bowl game in back to back seasons? I’m enjoying this season even though UW was a let down and disappointment knowing it solidified us out of the CCG. This team isn’t playing “Spoiler” like they have been for the last decade. We will reach the CCG in 2 years in the Pac-10/11 especially if the conference decides to go to an 8 team schedule and then set up a game against an FCS later in the season like the SEC does.
“Briefly: It was a brutal game for injuries, as five Beavers were sidelined. Colletto suffered a left hamstring injury, running back Jam Griffin (unspecified), right tackle Taliese Fuaga (lower leg) and Heneli Bloomfield (lower leg), and receiver Jesiah Irish (unspecified) left the game and didn’t return. … Running back Deshaun Fenwick and outside linebacker John McCartan (unspecified injuries) weren’t in uniform for Saturday’s game.”
After tonight, USC, Utah and Oregon all with one loss. Utah is gonna be extra motivated next weekend to beat the ducks again. Win and they’ll be in the Pac-12 title game (99.9% probability since they finish with Colorado).
Beavs were the biggest movers in ESPN’s FPI, up 10 spots to #28. Maybe an indication of how voters will see us? There was quite a bit of chaos with teams in front of us yesterday.
Gulbranson was good again. He now has 7TDs to 3INTs and a 62% completion percentage. I think the issue is when he’s bad, he’s really bad, so it stands out. Also the two tough road games (Washington and Utah) he laid an egg. I think that skews perception negative, too. Overall he’s been good for a first year starter. I still think the move, when Nolan returns, is start either guy but keep them on a short leash.
Why? He’s basically guaranteed the starting job unless we manage to bring in a good transfer QB.
The only thing stopping him right now is his health. If he’s really been in concussion protocol this long, that seems like a serious concern to me and he should probably hang em up for his own good.
He wasn’t very good when he was starting. He had 6 ints in the last 5-6 quarters he played. He wasn’t going to take this team any further than BG. Might as well keep giving BG or another qb the game experience. I’ve seen enough from Chance. I don’t know why he hangs around to be second or third string in his last year but maybe the coaches feel differently. I hope his healthy isn’t a serious problem.
You said it right there: it’s pretty clear the coaches feel differently. They’ve said before that based on his whole body of work, he’s still earned consideration. There’s no one on the roster better than him right now and, unless someone makes huge strides, there won’t be next year either.
I don’t know if he has any inside information, but Daschel has already said whichever QB loses the starting job will transfer. Neither Nolan nor Gulbranson will quietly sit on the bench next year.
Also, noticed in the interview last night Smith said Gulbranson has already graduated. That likely factors into his transferring decision if he doesn’t think he gets a fair shot at the starting job.
He has said he has NFL aspirations, so if he gets a starting gig to a team that’s as good or better than the Beavers, I think he’d leave. But who knows.
He’d need to improve his TD:INT ratio and decision making, and likely continue to try and improve his strength, spiral, and deep pass. So, not much to work on if that’s correct.
I’ve only seen the Utah game and highlights from others so my perspective is a bit skewed, but BG is PFF’s worst rated passer in the PAC-12 that doesn’t play for Colorado. He looks to me like he has the tools to be successful, but doesn’t see the game well yet.
Either way, we need a transfer QB to improve our odds of having a winner next year.
We have True Freshman Aidan Chiles coming in as an early enrollee and will push for the starting spot for next season. They may decide to Redshirt him if they feel he needs to bulk up a bit more before starting for durability, but he is the real deal compared to what we’ve had at QB for the last decade.
He’s ok against bad teams. Not good enough to rise up against better teams. If we want to take the next step, he’s not the answer. Against UW he missed 3 wide open receivers that would have been TDs. The wheel route was especially egregious. Still can’t believe we lost that game and while you may want to blame JS, I’m putting it on BG. We easily win that game with average QB play. BG was absolutely horrible despite the team playing well in almost every other aspect of the game.
Was at a hockey game last night so didn’t get to watch live and be critical live with you.
Defense looked very good… they made Cal look really bad.
I’m concerned about all the injuries… especially the hammer cause JS will continue his stupidness without Jack.
BG had some good moments but still has young QB syndrome.
Gould shined.
I’m over Harrison, he needs to be removed from starting… just not reliable.
SEE, WE CAN KICK A FIELD GOAL. Should have beat UW by 3.
I sound like a broken record but the Beavers record this year with this defense should be better and this is on the coaches. Utah might be the exception, maybe, but Washington and USC were games we outplayed the opponents but coaches blew those games. I love the progress overall but the gambler and his crew have me really concerned that we will remain those pesky Beavs that always seem to fall just short.
USC at UCLA next Saturday. USC wins and they’re in the Pac-12 title game. Someone else can correct me if I am wrong but I also believe a Utah win in Eugene would also place them in the Pac-12 title game as they would win any tie breaker and be the lone team that has beaten USC.
Beavs have a shot to in a tie for 3rd……
USC beats UCLA. Gives the Bruins 3 losses. UO loses out (Utah and Civil War. Not out of the question) and has 3 losses. Washington loses the crapple cup in Pullman gives them 3 losses. Beavs win out.
You’d have a 4 way tie for 3rd. None of those scenarios are a stretch.
IF USC wins out and gets to the CFP, Utah could be picked as a replacement for the Rose Bowl. That would leave the Vegas and Holiday bowls 4 teams and they could choose any of them to participate in their bowl game. Not saying one of them would pick the Beavs over UCLA, UO or UW but it’s probably the only shot of getting above the Sun Bowl.
With Arizona’s improbable win at the rose bowl last night the Cats are sitting at 4-6. They finish season with WSU and the territorial cup and both are at home. They’ve got a shot to finish with 6 wins and a minor bowl game. That would give the Pac 12 eight teams bowl eligible.
Colorado, Cal, Stanford and ASU will all be sitting at home for the holidays.
Gulbranson comment after the game in an article linked by someone else above….
Same goes Gulbranson’s appreciation for Oregon State’s defense. As the quarterback, it’s in the back of Gulbranson’s mind not to screw it up, as the defense isn’t going to give up much.
“Understanding as a quarterback, when you’ve got such a great defense like that, just limit the mistakes, limit the turnovers and be smart with the ball,” Gulbranson said.
I think that’s great, but Gulbranson threw a couple of ill-advised passes that could have been interceptions. I think the same defender dropped both of them. One play he rips a perfect pass in a tight window and then under some pressure he panics and throws into coverage. I guess growing pains, but they will need more offense at some point to get to the next level.
I only watched the 20-minute highlight video, but he seemed pretty comfortable rolling out and throwing. Which they don’t seem to call a lot of, but given field position and down and distance context, it may be something to help him out. Also, let him run a few times.
Here’s the link to the Fisher-Morris postgame interview mentioned above, this is from a 1:1 with Ron Callan, not the media availability which included BG, JS, and others.
Next year’s home slate is looking a little better for the opening of the “completed Reser.” UCLA, UW, Utah all could be top 25 teams by the end of this college football season. The Beavers are defending the home turf well these past two seasons, and all of those games should have pretty good attendance and pretty loud crowds if this season’s half-stadium crowds are an indication.
San Diego State is likely a pretty good non-conference, pre-season challenge (and maybe future member of the PAC).
UCLA beats USC and Cal. Oregon beats Utah but loses the Civil War. Utah beats Colorado (likely). UW beats Colorado and wins the Crapple Cup. I don’t see any of those scenarios unrealistic or a long shot at all………..
There would be a 5 way tie for 1st place at the end of the season. In that scenario, which two of those five teams would play in the Pac-12 title game?
Unless my tie breakers are incorrect (which would be combined record for each team vs the other four tied teams) in that scenario it would be UCLA and Oregon.
USC 0-2
UCLA 3-1
UO 2-1
UW 1-1
Utah 1-2
I have too much free time on Sundays when the weather is shitty!
Well all I can say is that I am shocked at how good OSU’s defense was last night. I figured after last game Cal would have successfully attacked our secondary with Plummer. Glad to see I was wrong.
I still don’t think the Beavs will run the table, but I’m more optimistic about ASU.
NP. I just looked and didn’t see any yet, but you can look over the next few days and something might pop up. It’s pretty random the full games that pop up on YT.
Guess losing to beavs the final straw
BERKELEY – Travers Family Head Football Coach Justin Wilcox announced Sunday that offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave and offensive line coach Angus McClure have been relieved of their duties, effective immediately. Both were in their third season on the Golden Bears’ coaching staff.
That’s a little surprising given their offensive output against USC and UO (each 400+ yards). They just played the best secondary in the PAC and on the road. Hell, star-studded USC only scored 17. I guess having your offense go scoreless for three quarters then only score 3 points in the 4th leads to consequences…
FUN FACT (from Capt Obvious): Oregon’s #pac12 wins are over teams with a combined league record of 8-27, with games remaining, against 6-1 Utah and 4-3 Oregon St.
As retweeted by Wilner, who adds that USC’s wins in the PAC are over teams with a record of 14-36.
Good catch, Wilner ought to fix that.
Still, swoosh has won vs teams that drop twice as many as they win. And faces two teams that have won more than twice as many as they’ve lost.
Transitive factor?……NA!
As bad as the bottom 3 of the Pac-12 are it isn’t surprising. Pretty much all of the top 5 teams in the conference have played those 3 teams.
Colorado, Cal and Stanford are bad.
At the end of the day, is there really any difference between the top 5 in this conference?
It’s almost a guarantee that the home team wins a game between them. Not sure exactly what the records are, but I think they all speak for themselves.
Utah beat USC at home. Ucla beat Utah and UW at home. Oregon beat Ucla at home.
Gotta give some credit to UW for winning in Eugene. But if we think about it just a little? Those were 2 evenly matched teams. UW fucked up throwing a pick inside the 5 yd line. UO fucked up going for it on their own 34 yard line. Or did they? The running back slipped and fell down. UW really didn’t make the stop. But between evenly matched teams sometimes that happens. One little thing like that can be the difference between winning and losing.
That’s the difference between Oregon St and those 5 teams. They have a Caleb Williams. Bo Nix. DTR. Cam Rising. And a Penix.
We have a pretty damn good defense. Theyve held UW and USC to season lows. They held Utah to a season low in yards. The offense outgained them by 100 yards. But the turnovers by Nolan were devastating.
But the defense can’t do everything. They tried against USC. They tried against UW. And both times they almost pulled it off.
We’re so close. So close to being there with those front runners at the top. So close it’s frustrating.
Despite all that of the Beavs can win these last 2 games, win their bowl game even if it’s in El Paso? I’d call 10-3 a success. Even though it could’ve been so much more with better QB play.
Eggers expresses concern for injuries, says, “I’m guessing few of the injured will be ready for action when the Beavers visit Arizona State for their road finale next Saturday. And that not all of them will recover in time to face the Ducks in two weeks.”
Anyone ever eat at dicks drive in? Any good? I was watching America in color tonight and they mentioned it. I never heard of it, so I looked it up and the founder was a beav!
I ate at the one in Spokane years ago. We loaded up with a bag of 25-cent hamburgers and hit the road…. It was a great value, and a unique place. I don’t recall it being super good, but the price was great. Looking at their menu pics, it looks like the quality may have improved.
Yeah that’s the place. Dick Spady, the founder, was a Beav. I never even heard of the place. They began in the 50s and only have like 12 locations, all in that area. Apparently he was a good dude who paid workers well. Put a Beav on it.
Living in Seattle I’ve had the opportunity to go a few times. It’s nothing special just the local burger chain. They do pay their workers a good wage so that definitely gives them a bump in status. As well as sir-mix-a lot name dropping them in songs. “Go back the other way we’ll stop and eat at ducks.” For what it’s worth Little big burger in Portland (now Seattle as well) has far better burgers. I guess you could say they are better than what you would expect a bag of dicks to taste like. They should definitely do an NIL deal with Penix.
Yep. I grew up in Spokane and we used to go to Dick’s every once in a while. I remember they had pizza that they would serve on a paper plate, and if you got it to go, they put another paper plate on top and stapled them together. Really cheap food but it was a good value.
Cal didn’t show up at all. Their sideline had little life throughout the game. They did not enjoy the cold.
the injuries are the biggest items to watch. The OL injuries did not look good. Both guys were very slow to get off the field. Whoever got hurt second could barely walk. Irish I think ran off the field after going head first into the Cal sideline so he might be ok. Colletto was down for a bit, his didn’t look good either. Luckily, I think the Beavs realize they can still do the short yardage wildcat run with pretty much any of the RBs.
Gulbranson needs to be better on execution for hand offs and not forcing throws. The fumble like the last one vs Colorado was all on him. The play was already going bad and he tried to make the 1% play to still try to hand the ball off. He had a couple throws that were pretty bad. The one I recall clearly was on a play action roll out, the ball was supposed to go to the TE but was covered, GB still tried to fit it in there, nearly picked. He didn’t see Harrison wide open deep for a walk in TD.
Dom Montiel dressed for the game. Did not see Nolan at all. Any injury to Gulbranson and the team is pretty screwed. Gebbia would likely not be called on.
When Gebbia went in for garbage time, it was clear he was not the choice as the backup after Nolan. He is not any where near 100% healthy. He looks about 60%. He walks with a small hitch. Not a limp, but its noticeable when he walks. Would have zero mobility in the pocket. His two throws were quick throws.
Jaydyn Ott might seriously reconsider coming to OSU. But the Beavs are mighty deep at RB for the next couple years. Newell showed again why he was a highly rated recruit. He is a very fast and shifty runner for a guy listed at 218pds. He may see his most extensive game action next week if Griffin and Fenwick are sidelined. I didn’t notice Lowe got into the game at all but that is a big addition to the third down package.
The last two games opponents will likely be kicking away from the returners or higher to get shorter returns. Bolden and Gould are showing they can break one at any time. Small and slippery, they can get through the tiniest of holes.
Hayes leg looked plenty strong. Had the distance for the missed FG. Hopefully the long make gives him some confidence to make future kicks. Sappington didn’t kick at all, I figured he would do kickoffs but Hayes did all of them.
Beavs third down offense early in the game was bad. Got bailed out by going 3-3 on 4th down. Colletto got saved by Gould making a great catch.
Figured it would take beating Cal and ASU to get back into the top 25. But now, if they beat ASU, they will be a consensus top 25 team going into civil war.
I’ve been wondering about Montiel. I know he’s a bit of a project, but if he’s dressing, maybe he’s showing them something at practice. Guessing he’s doing a lot of scout team stuff.
After Saturday’s game, the Beaver defense moved into the top 25 in the country in opponent yards and points per game.
Huge credit to Bray and the returning players this year. I was skeptical we would see major improvement with basically the same group that was mediocre last year, but I’m glad I was proven wrong! Maybe more impressive is how solid the unit has been across the board. There are no individual standouts, but no major weak links either.
Funny. In the Oregon game they just said the beavs would have won last week if they just took the FGs.
Have ya ever seen more silly unis than swoosh today?
If Beavs wore them perhaps Chance could see who to throw the ball to.
I would be happy to see the Beavs in any color uniform at 8-1.
Yes. In previous Duck uniforms…those were pretty bad though.
24-13 Beavs
20-17 Big B baby!!!
Leg humpers making Oregon look average. 13-10 UW at halftime
Zebras neutral so far.
Go Beavs! Don’t ruin my night
Anybody have a working bootleg link? All the Sports Urge links are coming up as a UCLA/Arizona replay for me
Try streameast
Someone at the pac12 network is laughing. It’s Ron callan tonite!
Boy that was close
What a throw
Great catch, great effort.
The hammer should throw more
He has an arm!
Dam, griffin with a helluva td run
Jam with a hurdle and a bowling ball touchdown. Nice
Not the time for the trick play.
Lindgren with one of his episodes.
Gould! He’s been clutch this game.
Stupid Huskies throw a pick on 1st and goal from the Ducks 1 yard line.
What’s the score there?
It was 31-27 ducks at the time, not sure now.
Penix had to show everyone how big his dick is, throws into quintuple coverage. Can’t imagine how that turned in to a pick.
This is the start OSU needed. 21-0 lead. Don’t give Cal any hope
Finally get an “easy” start to a game, and Beavers are getting injured left and right. LOTBs!!!
Is BG looking as bad as his stat line?
Yes
Nix just got a direct shot to his right kneecap form a Husky db on a qb draw. Struggled to walk off the field. Something to watch.
Huskies down 7 with 4 minutes to go. Ducks just kcked a fg to go up 7.
Smith won’t try a 28 yarder last week but 53 this week is a ok
Makes going for it on 4th and 3 easier knowing we can’t make field goals. It’s reverse psychology.
Harrison drops a dime by BG. Jesus he is so inconsistent. Led to the missed fg.
Yeah that was a great throw by GB!
Ducks look unbelievably strong. Don’t think they will loose another game.
Da beavs.
that didn’t age well
I think what you meant to say was invincible? ;)
And yet the “lose” them…..
Maybe you meant “mighty” disappointing?
Here we go, LOTB
@Beaverstate, Ducks will be lucky to beat UW in OT with Nix hurt. Go back to your DUck boards.
Ducks just went for $ & 1 at the 30 and got stuffed. UW alrrady in fg range with 1:26 left. Huskies will win lol
The Ducks flopping to get a time out.
Ducks have no timeouts and have been gifted 2 stoppages by the refs in the last 6 seconds. Pac12 is trying to help them a bit but they are still out of fg range. Ducks may lose their last 3 games…
Watch this get over turned.
That was fucking awful.
46° and humid, coach I gotta cramp!
Probably menstrual
Haaaaa
These announcers slobbing Nike cocktail. If this is over turned you know the fix is In
Unbeleivable that the Ducks didn’t play for OT but tried a 4th and 1 at the 30. HUskies immediately in fg range and kick the game winner. LOL “no natty for you, no natty for you, and no natty for you”
No CFP for you!
BG is not good.
Yes I am!
Enough of the BS playoff talk.
Penix rubs all over Nike face.
That giant thud you heard was the wheels falling off the Nike hype machine.
Lol, I’m devastated.
Weren’t the ducks all butt hurt about UW faking Injuries during the Chip Kelly years? Or was that a different team?
That was Cal.
Either way. What goes around comes around. I hope they get ridiculed for it
Gulbranson suddenly is dealing!
Yay we have a kicker!!!
The Beavs’ offense is awful. Thank god we finally have a decent defense. It might be time for Smith to can the o coordinator like he did with Tibesar.
Dude DTR shaking off plays like he’s a pitcher? Anybody else see that?
Our offense is not awful. It’s mediocre. Too much over exaggerating around here.
Great play by 23 to rip the ball away from thr receiver in the end zone after he caught it. Otherwise that’s a TD
Boy it’s nice to sip a beer while enjoying the game instead of pounding them in agitation.
COTT
The pac really cracked down on streams for this game. It’s easy to find one for every game but this one. Very strange.
Ads still run. Maybe they tried it out on the smallest fan base to see how much the ratings (ad revenue) drop.
Who’s Shannon? Great run, he sure popped the DB. Are we pulling kids out of the stands?
He’s played in both the Montana Stat and Colorado games. Scored a TD vs MSU
All be dipped. I lose interest when the games are out of hand. That’s probably why I’ve never seen him. He had a really nice run for a first down.
Jinxed me. My stream just went down.
Super beta prostate is your friend!
Gebbia sighting, anyone complaining?
Very few complaints tonight. Dominant win. D looked great.
Now go beat ASSU!
BG has been fairly solid. 2 passing tds. 1 rushing. Should’ve had a 3rd passing if not for Harrison drop. Moved in the pocket really well. Seemed like things slowed down for him in 2nd half
Dunmore is quick. WR room has some speed. Be nice to have Tongue grow into a reliable big target receiver for us vs all these 5’10 guys.
That look on Wilcox face at the end of the game said it all. Like he’d just stepped off an elevator after someone ripped a nasty fart on the way down. Describes Cal football in a nutshell.
Shoulda taken that Nike money dickweed.
This per Steve Berkowitz of USA Today sports:
“Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith picks up a 1-year contract extension as Beavers get 7th regular season win by beating Cal. This means Smith’s deal runs thru February 2029. The additional year is scheduled to be worth $4.75 million; it is guaranteed for $2.85 million.”
Oh, 7th win also means Vegas pays those who took the over on 6.5 wins for the season!
Is colletto out long term? Heard it’s a hamstring. Wilcox did not have a good bday and won’t be celebrating with dilly bars.
Didn’t realize he had the Riley Clause. Maybe we need to raise the bar now that he’s hit it twice in a row.
Fisher-Morris, very well spoken in postgame interview.
Link coming.
Great overall team win! The defense has really been the difference this season, holding Cal to 9 yards rushing and 156 total yards is impressive! Only 3 offensive points scored. The d*cks lost!!! I’m so relieved! How awesome would it be if they end up losing 3 games in a row?
Wow. That’s crazy in today’s game.
“Best defensive performance of the season? Before writing off that it was only Cal, consider that the Bears put up 469 yards against USC last week, and 402 against Oregon the previous game. The Bears have offensive capability. The Beavers made it look like they hadn’t played football before.”
https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2022/11/oregon-states-defense-and-reser-juice-combine-to-aid-beavers-in-a-38-10-pounding-of-california.html
Chip Kelly with the reckless fourth down call. What is with these coaches shooting themselves in the foot. If Gould doesn’t connect on the fourth down throw from Colletto that call looks terrible and changes the momentum of the game. Smith has to coach differently and choose his spots.
That was risky, but maybe he’s trying to make ASU and UO respect the throw threat, then go back to running.
Yeah at least JS put some trickery in there with the Colletto pass…went to the well one too many times w the 3 yard run. Was hoping they would’ve done that during the Washington game.
Funny, somebody on PAC 12 Network, Nigel Burton(?) called the Ducks the best PAC team, “hands down,” he had UW at #5, OSU @ #6…
They won’t be out of the top 25
I know…just kind of sarcasm…they never should have been ranked so high after the first game of the season.
You know this. I know this. It’s the Nike/ESPN hype machine.
Look, Oregon is a very good team. I can admit that. But they’re not elite or even great.
Yeah, the OSU secondary could really challenge them.
Once again, they’re exposed late season.
Arizona pulls off the upset over ucla in LA
Ugh. Need that SEC-like, late season cupcake:
“Briefly: It was a brutal game for injuries, as five Beavers were sidelined. Colletto suffered a left hamstring injury, running back Jam Griffin (unspecified), right tackle Taliese Fuaga (lower leg) and Heneli Bloomfield (lower leg), and receiver Jesiah Irish (unspecified) left the game and didn’t return. … Running back Deshaun Fenwick and outside linebacker John McCartan (unspecified injuries) weren’t in uniform for Saturday’s game.”
Most likely won’t hear anything injury related until Monday.
Colletto appeared fine on the sidelines. Not claiming to know anything
Just an FYI ASU QB bourgerot (probably butchered his last name) left their game vs WSU with an injury and did not return.
After tonight, USC, Utah and Oregon all with one loss. Utah is gonna be extra motivated next weekend to beat the ducks again. Win and they’ll be in the Pac-12 title game (99.9% probability since they finish with Colorado).
And they’ll be likely be very physical. The end of the season is setting up nicely for the Beavers.
I just hope the numerous injuries from tonight aren’t too serious.
NiceBeaver, quite a few visits this weekend? Good showing for them in terms of dominant win, crowd….

Anyone think Nolan has played his last game with the Beavs? I don’t see him sticking around for his senior year.
That’s unfortunate, because we are thin at QB with Gebbia leaving.
Exactly. Both QBs are okay vs bad teams and bad vs good teams.
Seeing a projection of sun bowl vs Louisville. Exciting.
If we’re going to the Sun Bowl I’d hope for an opponent OSU hasn’t played before, like Miami or FSU
Agreed. If Hell Paso does wind uo being the destination, hope for NC State, FSU or Miami as the opponent. No to Duke or Pitt. Barf.
Jerry Palm from CBS has Arizona going to the LA Bowl-didn’t see that pone coming.
pone=one
Huh, I don’t know how you can blame UW and USC on coaches other than they can’t seem to recruit a decent QB
Harrison leads OSU in receptions, receiving yards and TD catches but, yea, let’s not start him LOL
But how many opportunities has he botched? Not hating on him but he’s definitely not reliable
Some pac standings updates and thoughts…..
If uo loses out they’ll have 4 losses..
only 3 conference losses. That’s all that matters at that point in the bowl pecking order.
I’m guessing they’ll be extra shy to “let him run” after Chance got hurt when they finally “let him run.”
Ball Security! =\
Besides that, this was the 1st game where offense, defense and special teams made significant contributions towards win.
Would like to see this more often going forward.
Wonder if the Beavs will be able to retain Bray?
He’s likely going to be popular this offseason.
Better call Phil for a donation before he croaks
Here’s the link to the Fisher-Morris postgame interview mentioned above, this is from a 1:1 with Ron Callan, not the media availability which included BG, JS, and others.

I believe we’ll miss his leadership.
Beavs back in the AP poll at No 25
https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35019529/georgia-no-1-top-5-unchanged-oregon-ucla-take-pac-12-hits
Sweet
Not a lot of defense in the UW @ UO game…UW with 408 passing yards, 522 total yards, Ducks with 312 yards rushing and 592 total yards.
DeBoer likely to be PAC COY with the progress there at UW?
I’m guessing Lincoln Riley if USC reaches the conference title game. Lanning is even still a possibility. Gonna depend on these last few weeks.
I think a better debate? Penix or Williams for POY?
How about this for utter fucking chaos………….
Is there a site to watch the replay of the game other than Pac-12 network
Sometimes the full games go up on YouTube.
Ok I’ll check. Thank u!
NP. I just looked and didn’t see any yet, but you can look over the next few days and something might pop up. It’s pretty random the full games that pop up on YT.
Here’s the 20 minute version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt28D5itwT8
Beavs open as 7 point favorite at ASU
FUN FACT (from Capt Obvious):
Oregon’s #pac12 wins are over teams with a combined league record of 8-27, with games remaining, against 6-1 Utah and 4-3 Oregon St.
As retweeted by Wilner, who adds that USC’s wins in the PAC are over teams with a record of 14-36.
It’s actually 13-30.
No idea who came up with the numbers in that tweet.
Ucla and WSU have a combined 8 conference wins just between those 2 teams.
Getting ahead of myself though. Beat ASSU first.

The same one that is in Spokane? The place with super cheap hamburgers?
https://www.ddir.com/menu/
I ate at the one in Spokane years ago. We loaded up with a bag of 25-cent hamburgers and hit the road…. It was a great value, and a unique place. I don’t recall it being super good, but the price was great. Looking at their menu pics, it looks like the quality may have improved.
Yeah that’s the place. Dick Spady, the founder, was a Beav. I never even heard of the place. They began in the 50s and only have like 12 locations, all in that area. Apparently he was a good dude who paid workers well. Put a Beav on it.
Ya same, DT Spo
No. If it was called Vaginas I’d consider it.
Most likely would’ve been started by a Beaver anyways.
The too late hot takes,
Cal didn’t show up at all.
Throckmorton was mentioned as being in the mix early in camp. My guess is he and Montiel are competing for the #4 spot.
New thread up.
