  1. Too bad the students arent in town yet. wonder how that section will look? go Beavs. Time for Mannion to start putting his name on the map. I see big things for him this coming year

  2. Been partying since last night (Thursday) with Beav and badger fans. Kick the fucking ball off already!
If we’re wearing black in the sunny sideline in this heat I’m gonna streak onto the field and personally bitch slap Riley. It’s been dam hot here, think ahead like us fat-ass overweight people do.

  3. Can somebody help a fan abroad? I’m stuck with only an iPod but it has wifi and I would still like to catch the game on radio. Is there any station streaming the game that also has an app?

  4. If Beavs win, game balls to:

Trent Bray – “With violence! Everything with violence!” When did you think you’d ever hear words like that from a Riley staffer? Bray’s coaching the LB’s to play fast and violent, and guys like Doctor and Welch have the speed and potential; if Bray’s made progress with the unit it should be evident today.

Sean Mannion – If he can avoid the picks this could be a big day for him. Beavs speed on outside will be a challenge for the Badgers.

My votes for other contributing players to watch for:

Conner Hamlett – I keep hearing he’s improved, and I’ve always been intrigued by his height and potential, I think today we’ll see some good mid-range catches from him.

Joe Lopez – Another player who’s supposedly improved, reminding coaches of Curtis Coker. I still think this D-line is undersized and understocked, like to see this kid prove me wrong.

Malcolm Agnew – If Storm Woods has jitters or doesn’t run with confidence – I think the lack of a Nicholls State game hurt Woods – I expect Agnew to be a calming influence and contributor on the field.

    Questions:

Have Wheaton and/or Cooks learned and perfected James Rodger’s double move? If so, they should be getting open deep this season. The fact that James will be there today may be inspiring to them. Will they block effectively, something James did so well?

Anybody know if Fred Thompson’s family is going to be there today?

Riley is terrible in these kinds of games. Wisconsin is like 33-0 in non-conference games and doesn’t turn the ball over. Maybe its simply time for a different outcome….

    Go Beavers!

    • damn, you pretty much nailed it with all the guys you mentioned. lopez will probably end up with a scholarship if he can plug the middle and take on blocks the way he did today, hamlett looked like he may be developing into the real deal, and agnew seemed flat out more physical than he did last year. i’ll throw fufita in with lopez as a defensive lineman who has improved a great deal from last year as well.

  5. Christmas morning for me. DISH has officially added PAC-12 Networks and I am watching it right now! Get to see all of today’s games. DISH should be picking up quite a few subscribers with this decision. Very happy! Go Beavs! Beat Wisconsin!

  6. Well, It looks like I’m outta luck for watching the game unless I can find a stream. There’s one sad Beaver in Oklahoma today. I miss Oregon.

  7. i’ve been watching college gameday on espn this morning, about to pick up my dad and head to the game. all the analysts on gameday seem to be thinking upset for the beavers today. surprises me a little bit, i guess it has mostly to do with how ordinary whisky looked last week. the running game’s the key. let’s go get a win.

  8. Getting ready to head out to what is known as “Corn Valley” in Seattle.
Had lunch on the Portland waterfront yesterday as we were passing through. Where were all of the beaver fans wearing their school colors? Will there be anyone at the stadium today or just Badger fans?
Can’t wait to see those beaver players run through that ugly rubber helmet!
At least the weather will be great and maybe I will grab a few brewskies from tailgaters and see who the more hospital fans are, Badger or beavers.
One guy on ESPN referred to this game as the “Rodent Bowl”.
    Laughed my ass off!

  9. Anybody know of a good place to look for a stream of the game?

Or have friends in Stillwater that know a good place to drink/eat/make merry with watching OSU :)

  10. I feel pretty closely with Angry on today’s game. OSU has a legit opportunity to pull the upset but Riley still needs to prove he can lead his teams to big wins early on National TV. I think the game stays pretty close for most of it and OSU hangs tough, but in the win-loss column where it really matters, Riley comes up a tad short today. Hopefully, he and the team prove me wrong. OSU and the Pac-12 really need a high profile win today that isn’t expected.

  11. Oh baby…just got back from fishing and saw an email from Dish…glad they sealed the deal!

I didn’t think i’d be this anxious for the kick off…not sure why I put myself through the emotional rollercoaster that is Beaver fandom, but here we go!

  12. Weird that there are relatively few comments after beating the #13 team in the land.

I guess if we’d lost, there’d be a lot more bitching and moaning?

Great defense. Great play calling/clock management by Mike Riley. Historic win. Bitchy fanbase? not so much.

  13. It works. But if I don’t stay on top of it I miss a bunch of shit and I have 437 lines of bullshit about people joining and disappearing and I really don’t give a fuck. I just want to read comments and respond.

  14. What I liked was how spread around the talent was… this was a team effort.

Only negatives were stupid penalties, red zone action (although this is where UW’s D-fence really stepped up), and first game / freshman mistakes. All correctable.

  15. I’m pretty optimistic after this game for the rest of the season. The only gripe I have is that it looks (I didn’t see the first three quarters) like the Beavs could have put up a lot more points and didn’t finish on a lot of their drives. The North looks pretty vulnerable and I don’t see a single team on the schedule (besides the stupid Ducks of course) that looks like a “no chance” type of game anymore. Let’s go Beavs keep it up!

  16. Oh and for “bow down to washington”: LSU is bowing down to you all right, except they’re down there so they can rip your little balls off and jam em in your mouth.

  17. WFO – LOL!

I hate this new rule that if the helmet comes off you are out of the game for a play…. so stupid. Almost as stupid as removing your helmet after a TD is a foul… get some duct tape and tape the friggin helmets on!

  18. Agree on Chat Room sucking — BRING IT BACK — I’m never going to go on during the game, when I’m there…but I love to go back and rewatch the game along with the game thread…
