#3 Oregon State @ #20 Arizona

6pm tonight.

Should be a great series. Gut says Boyd wins, Wetlzer loses, and Moore is a wildcard, but not a strong feeling on any of that. So, I am thinking 2-1 best case, but who knows, Beavs have confidence and are playing well. They've also been hearing about their weak schedule, so that could motivate them further.

Regarding television availability: Oregon State and Arizona got word from the Pac-12 earlier this week that Sunday's game will no longer be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks. The three-game series, however, is slated to be streamed for free via Pac-12.com.

Yay for the Pac-12 Network?

I have to say, the baseball streams are nice and high quality. Love that Mike Parker isn't doing the games (had to throw that in there).

This is the Way the Season Ends

This is the way the season ends, this is the way the season ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper.

I knew this team would be bad, but I thought the youth would develop. Morris-Walker shooting .326 and Reid at .273. Victor Robbins a non factor. Just really disappointing development. Highlight of the season winds up being attrition (goodbye Joe Burton, though to be fair he had a decent year).

Cue JackBeav to tell us Winston Churchill, not T.S. Elliot, actually penned, "This is the way the world ends"…;)

San Francisco @ Oregon State

Midweek games this week. Start time is 5:35 Pacific.

Really hate this series. SF is a decent team, and the Beavs are going to blow through some pitching playing these two games. Only one game off before facing Arizona. Don't like it. My guess is Starr and Bauer/Painton to get the starts, but right now it is TBD.

Texas State @ Oregon State

Thread for the weekend series. Beavs should sweep again and will very likely be 17-0 heading into conference play (3/15)

Probable Starters: OSU LHP Matt Boyd (2-0, 1.27) vs. TSU RHP Kyle Finnegan (1-0, 1.59)

03/08/13 vs. Texas State Corvallis, Ore. 5:35 p.m. PT
03/09/13 vs. Texas State Corvallis, Ore. 2:05 p.m. PT
03/10/13 vs. Texas State Corvallis, Ore. 1:05 p.m. PT

Go Beavs.
