Why they lost and will continue to lose,
1. Talent. They don’t have enough. I underestimated the loss of Bruce and duvivier. They had much better handles than the current guys. Stacy is basically useless.
2. Because of the loss, that means sanders and Muller and playing minutes they weren’t supposed to get.
3. Guys stretch too far out of the zone defense creating space for the opponents.
4. McLoughlin still needs to step up the focus and intensity. Saw a glimpse of it at the end of the game. Ridiculous that he himself got a 10 second call.
5.i don’t see guys deferring to tres. They just lack confidence and maybe rightly so after Muller bricked one off the side of the backboard.
After seeing them in person, they won’t win more than 5 games in conference. Any postseason is out of the question.

FWIW, OSU and UO recruiting classes ranked 27th and 26th by Rivals and Nebraska at #24. Yes, OSU is bringing in a bigger class, but its interesting to see the gap closing – even with no airport.

He just needs to teach them how to shoot, rebound on the offense, and attach on offense. Tres is the only one out there playing maturely. Eubanks looks good and has a mean streak in him. They needs Thompson and Kone back.
It feels like they need one more power forward since WT missed on Dew. They seem like the Brent Barry Beavers currently with one great player in Tres and an inconsistent group around him. Eubanks dominates weak competion, but is easily neutralized against mature experienced inside players.
They kind of said what you mentioned awhile back about the interceptions and passing percentage being a concern against that level of competion. Travis Wilson is a decent comparison, but Wilson had a bizarre throwing motion. Luton looks pretty good on that three step he takes.
One thing that has me rolling my eyes is the crap in the papers about the rivalry being “meaningful” to the Ducks once again. Sure now that they are shitty. I get it, Helfich has to grasp at every straw out there at this point.

One thing that has me rolling my eyes is the crap in the papers about the rivalry being “meaningful” to the Ducks once again. Sure now that they are shitty. I get it, Helfich has to grasp at every straw out there at this point.
