But I know the whiners at Blitz wrote the Uni and possibly coaches complaining about that account…so it could be them.
To answer your question: they can just block us so we can’t have any contact with them, and that’s what they chose to do.

No, blocked us from contacting them or them contacting us privately. We rarely contacted them…if they wanted something known they contacted us, to my knowledge. I don’t run the account and delegated that to Kman and Blazer, so they’ll have to confirm, but I think that’s accurate.

It’s very weak. All the recruiting coordinators…we think Yray lead the charge. He’s officially on the AB shit list, along with all his subordinates (Guinta, Bigelow, Keegan Andersen, Lee Taylor).
It could be they fear that the name makes the twitter account appear to be official and are concerned with the appearance of recruiting violations occurring, so I wouldn’t put him too far up on your shit list.
If you go on twitter and search for pretty much any school’s mascot name followed by “recruiting” you’ll find a similar account. Some schools have multiple ones, all run by fans or blogs and not the school. They’re very common. This isn’t some unique account that only Oregon State has to coexist with.
I guess they were done asking for favors? Maybe time to look in the mirror rather than point fingers and hide. Millenials…..smh….

We can still post it on the handle, too. We just won’t have as much inside info, or able to report offers when they go out. Hopefully more good sources step forward to fill the void.
I don’t have a Twitter account so I always check this one for info. This sucks. I don’t always agree with your “thoughts” but it makes me take off the Orange colored glasses just for a second…
I think it may have something to do with causing confusion among the recruits. I think many of them thought it was the official Twitter account for OSU recruiting. Also there was some anti-Duck stuff posted on that handle that came across as unprofessional if it was in fact the official handle for OSU recruiting. They may loosen the rains a bit with a handle that’s easy to distinguish from an official account. Just my opinion.
The bio plainly states it’s not an official acct. If that is the issue, somebody could say “hey, this needs to change” and the request would have been accomodated.
Exactly — could have been dealt with by a simple name change. I suspect it’s more a case of someone wanting to be sure they are able to “massage” the news to the public in the way they want.
It wasn’t obvious to me we were seeing/getting inside information and it was recruits that were announcing that they’d received an offer.
So I’m thinking this inside information may have been shared by a few at AB but wasn’t making it down to the rest of us.
Thus, so far my reaction is meh no big deal and fuck ’em if they want to be that way.
I imagine recruits may think the account is associated with the university and get mixed messages. Trust me, teens aren’t going to be reading the bio, they’ll just choose to follow.
Maybe a daily tweet should go out saying “In case it isn’t obvious enough, this acct is not run by the school or athletic department. Welcome to the internet.”
Wonder if a scheduled daily tweet along those lines would help? Like I said, similar accts exist everywhere. They’re not going away.
I am pretty sure Seth Collins dad is the reason behind this. He probably wasn’t happy with Angrys comments about his son and was a big reason for Seth Collins transferring to Northern Illinois. What else could it be, maybe Angry’s conspiracy theories were true and Andersen saw them and wanted to cut all ties to Angry. Maybe?

If it’s important, we’ll care about it. If it’s not (and we’re idiots about it), we will fork out money for what everyone else will always have. In fact, I can go down to my mailbox on Monday and find at least three pieces of junk mail begging for money. And I can guarantee two of the three are just grifting like “recruiting” services do.
I don’t even know why I bother responding to this crap. Money makes shameful excuses palatable in short terms. Money isn’t everything.
