20.Jan.2017 10 Days Until Signing Day

Well people call me an angry beaver, but that speech this morning took the cake. Eesh.

On a positive note, only 10 days until signing day, if we live long enough to see it. Need these coaches to finish strong and hang on to their hard work. That’s priority 1. Priority 2 is landing a few of the 50/50 guys. Priority three is getting an unsuspected flip or two. I want linemen, safeties, running backs, and corners.

He needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat with some OL’s this year or that will have consequences down the road. Green would be a precedent setter. I hope they can snag him.

People are saying that was the best speech ever… just the best. And I’ll tell you, it could only be written by someone with a bigly IQ… the biggest… by far the biggest IQ ever… that’s right.

I wonder if his minions all convinced him to write that clunker himself because not a one of them wanted to be associated with its existence in future history texts.

To summarize… Eurasia bad, Eastasia bad, perpetual war to be continued.

The Democrat party is at fault for not showing up and voting. You guys laughed at Trump and now you are reaping what sow. You literally just got beat by the most unqualified, unelectable person to ever run for president. What does that say about Hillary? You Democrat voters hitched your wagon to the wrong cart. You should have supported Bernie, he would have beaten Trump.

I haven’t voted for a Dem presidential candidate since 1984 (or a Rep since 1980). And the three months of last year would be the extent of me being registered as one over the last 29 years. The Dem party got out and voted, as did the GOP.

It was liberals who either didn’t vote or voted their conscience for once instead of always picking the least of two evils.

Sorry if that doesn’t fit with your narrow binary view of the world. But it’s not like you haven’t been conditioned by the two variables who would have you think in strictly binary terms, dismissive of anything outside those norms.

I’ve always slung shit at whatever side is corrupt. The GOP is low hanging fruit. But the Dems who are fiscally to the right of Reagan (like the Clintons) are no better. And the vestiges of this failed philosophy will soon be tossed in the trash… where it should have gone upon conception.

We just have to go through this comedic and extended set of death throes and a decade long depression to reset our nation. So while I revile the lizard diddle that is our POTUS, I’m going to enjoy watching the people who put him in power go through this reckoning. I’m ready for that whole lot of whiny turds to get a bunch whinier and turdier in the coming years. Are you?

He deserves an unlimited number of them. There is only 1 thing I will never call him and you can probably guess what that is.

As to black bandit and your “liberals lost” stuff, not really. Remember, Hillary got more votes, the Democrats (liberals) gained seats in both the Senate and the House.

Sure Trump won because of our stupid electoral college system (and I am not getting into that argument here) but the reality of America is it remains staunchly left of where the GOP stands.

Remember, Obama has a huge approval rating, gay marriage is supported by more than half the country, Obamacare isn’t as unpopular as Republicans thought, most Americans do support reasonable gun control, states are legalizing marijuana, and most Americans do believe in human caused global warming.

Progressives are still winning. Putin’s puppet is merely a speed bump assuming he honors the political norms of this country (which I have my doubts about).

Yes people like Obama……a lot because they fear being labeled racists by dems, it’s called white guilt.
Who cares if gays get married, the biggest problem with it is that the gov is in the marriage business. It should be between states and who ever is getting married.

I am spending $1200 more now then I did before Obamacare for insurance and I have to pay an extra $100 to see my long time physician because he’s out of network. My coverage is so bad I had my wife take the kids on hers because of how rediculously expensive it has become. But because of rules I can’t get on her insurance because I work for a company that offers it. Yeah Obamacare is great if you don’t have a job.

As far as guns….lol sure they do.
Global warming? It’s climate change…..Remember……they changed it because the models are showing colder winter and hotter summers. Or is it hotter winters and colder summers? All I know is al gore has become a multimillionaire by selling carbon credits.

The electoral college is what keeps every state involved in the process. We don’t live in a democracy we live in a constitutional republic, that’s how it’s done. Dems praise it when it works for them and complain when it doesn’t, what’s new.

The fact is the dems have forgotten about the middle class working family. And guess who showed up to the poles? Go ahead and call them stupid and idiots, or rasict misogynist, xenophobic, homophobic or whatever buzzword you want, it shows how much of a “tolerant liberal” you are.

BB… you speak like an imbecile. Just shut up. People voted for Obama because they heard a wonderful rhetoric. Smart people did not vote for him (and didn’t pretend the GOP offering was viable) in 2008 because he hired Geithner and Summers. We knew exactly what he would do, sadly, even though he didn’t know at that time.

Gay marriage? That wedge issue cost my state millions of wasted dollars and a lot of fucking brains cells. It is possibly the reason I will forever hate the state of Utah.

So… you really don’t know my fucking viewpoint. I guess that’s okay for me. It makes you look like a fool, though.

Buck up, my poor little snowflake. Words may hurt your poor little feelings right now. But you’ll feel better soon.

Your perspective is tiny. We must think big and dream even bigger.

I wonder how this will affect the spring game/baseball game in hillsboro?

Baseball is irrelevant here. I think a game is something different than this as well. If we go by the letter, a game isn’t a practice.

What I wonder is how it will affect any programs who begin fall camps with a retreat. Would starting camp in Bend be fine because of OSU Cascades?

Good point about the FB camp in Bend, I’d hate to see that taken away.
Sidenote on the ESPN piece: Luke Del Rio to miss Spring practice and could be beat out for first string.

I know the baseball part is irrelevant. What I’m getting at is last year OSU said they wanted to make it a yearly “double header” so portland fans could easily catch some OSU athletics without having to travel as far. I think they call it the Damcity showcase, or something like that. It was reported to be a big draw if I’m not mistaken.

Hoping we get a couple committments in next few days. Don’t want to wait until signing day. My guess is OSU will sign 23 in this class. Pili, Cotton & Tyler in upcoming days would really put us in good position to finish strong.

Tomorrow should be interesting, several commitments during the Poly Bowl include our targets:
      Brandon Pili
      Charles Moku Watson

its possible that Onesimus Lutu–Clarke could announce, but unlikely since he plans a Boise St visit next week.

Those ones are pretty close to 50-50.

others not announcing tomorrow, but ones who I am watching:
      Falaniko, Moore, and Green

They sure are serious about WRs. I’d complain if they all weren’t really good football players. I do wonder how many will remain (or were recruited as) WRs in college.

Kalon Barnes is a 2018 offer. He can follow Tyler in next year to play with his good friend. Something Jamire Calvin will miss with Arex if he doesn’t sign.

Pili is pretty mystereous. He doesn’t reveal much.
It is interesting that yet another 247 analyst put him down as an OSU lean yesterday. I typically dont look at this crystal ball predictions. If anything, i look at recently timestamped predictions, which are mostly going OSU’s way.
Other than that, I have always felt like Pili was leaning toward USC or Oregon. If UW had offered, he would be going there.
I don’t know how badly USC needs a 3* DT either. Seems like they would have plenty of options. Should find out today where he’s going, at least temporarily.

Several polynesian players in play to commit down the stretch: Pili, Falaniko, Pututau, Unutoa, Lutu-Clarke, Moku-Watson… and surely some silent ones as well. Poly Bowl tonight where we will learn the plans of a couple of them.
